so what do you think about them? im not feeling the new red lettering.

 

yeah i agree....not really an improvement from previous plates... i recieved a letter stating that they changed the color of the lettering to 'make them safer and easier to read'....and boy am I glad, now I can drive without stressin', knowing that the red letters on my license plate are keeping me safe.

 

Don't like them at all. seen one on the road the other day and it is pretty ugly.

I haven't seen them either but they can't look any worse than out SC plates.

 

I've seen a few. Thought they were a special edition plate or something.

BTW, what's wrong with the SC plate? If you have to have a plate, there could be worse. And at least we don't have a front plate.

 

sc plates come with a palm tree.

SC tags also have a corny little rhyme on them "Smiling Faces Beautiful Places"
When I lived in Myrtle, I asked the DMV if I could get a set made saying "Smiling Faces, Missing Teeth in Many Places"
The lady did not find it as funny as I did. Heh

The red plates are being phased in, and will be a NC standard within the next year. Read a sign at the tag trade in place here in Concord.

just got my permenant tags for my motorcycle today and they weren't red??

I HATE the red plates BUT a few weeks ago i ordered a personilized plate and she (the lady at the counter) never told me they were gonna be red...................I bet they will be huh? Grrrrrrr should have just keep the old

 

yup they will be red. im gonna order new vanity plates since i dont run with TeamscioNRG anymore.

Apparently they don't like the red either if they use those letters for the state demo.

 

Yep got my new plates today................they are RED!!!!!!!! grrrrrr so much for putting PINK decals on my scion emblem in the back
