Default New xB owner in Greenville

Hello everybody, like the title says I bought my 09 xB2 from Toyota of Greer on June 20th 2009. I'll forever remember that date because I picked up the car in the morning (it was brought from Columbia, SC) and proceeded to drive it to the church for my wedding. My first pics of the car was with my newly wed wife and I in front of the church.

I've been into the car scene for a little bit and have owned more cars since I was 16 than I ever thought I would. My parents bought me a 2000 Jeep Wrangler as my first car, but had to get rid of it within a year, I since then have bought my own cars. First up 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipe GS, 1992 Nissan 240SX hatchback, 2001 Honda Civic EX, 2003 Ford Focus ZX3, 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5SE 6spd, and finally my 09 Scion xB. I only kept the Honda for a month cause the dealer tried to sell it to me even though it had some serious tranny problems. The Focus I bought new and paid it off, did some mods to it, autocrossed it a bunch, then traded it for the Altima.

With the Altima, having a 6spd 6cyl sedan was rare and I loved the car!! I ran a 9.3 at the Greer 1/8th mile dragstrip this past spring. I had some mods done to it but I needed something a little more economical so I bit the bullet and got the xB. I always secretly loved the original xB styling and look, but I could never admit it. The xB2 came out and I loved it as well, but not enough to gather the courage and get one. Now the way the economy is and gas is still high, I'm very happy I got the xB!!

Now for the specs, I have a 2009 Scion xB, 5 spd, Super White, everything else pretty much stock. I have plans to either refinish the 19''x8'' +40 TSW Thruxtons that I had on my Altima and put them on the xB, or go the old school 16'' low offset type wheel look. I'm currently deployed with my Army unit to Croatia right now, but I get back in 5 days and will be ordering either the Tanabe DF's or Tein STechs to give the box the right stance. Other than my immediate plans my mod list for this car is pretty long.

But I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I do live in Greenville, off Haywood road, and I do go to the car meet every Sunday at the Harley Davidson place off I85 and I385. I've seen some other Scion people there, mostly TCs though. So all you xB owners, Gen 1 or Gen 2, around Greenville, hit me up. I can talk car for hours.

My email is ehodrea44@yahoo.com. Or ya'll can just pm me here. Talk to ya'll later.

Well thanks everybody for the welcome. I got home a day ago and spent some well deserved time with my wife at Myrtle Beach, but now I'm home and I've already ordered my first mods for my xB. An HID kit and Tein STechs are on the way to my house shortly!
