Default No one do business with Toyota/Scion of Goldsboro

I swear, everytime i go to Toyota/Scion of Goldsboro for something i always get a bunch of crap. Today was the last straw. I went to the parts counter and purchased the TRD lip kit for my 06 tC last friday. When i purchased it i ONLY purchased it because i was TOLD that the service side could install it. Monday it came in, so they called me. I asked if the service department could put it on for me that day so the guy transfers me. I spoke to someone in service and they said that they were backed up and couldn't do it that day. Okay, yeah, that's cool, no problem and to bring it by 9:30am tomorrow (which would be this morning) morning. So today at exactly 9:30am i brought it in. When i walk over to the service department and spoke with someone, they tell me that they can't install it because they've never done one before! WTF!?!? That's no excuse!! That's just like saying they couldn't service say a brand spanking new 08 (whenever they come out) tC because they'd never done one before. Whatever, so i went back to complain to the guy back behind the parts counter. So after being given every excuse in the book they finally tell me that they didn't wanna be held accountable for anything to the body cuz they weren't a "body shop". Okay, well why the hell couldn't they have been up-front about that with me when i made my purchase instead of being too focused on making a sale!! So to hell with that. I took my car over to the Chevrolet dealership across the street because they have a body shop. Scheduled to drop the car off 7am tomorrow morning. That is THE LAST time i EVER do any business with Toyota/Scion of Goldsboro. For a car company that encorages you to do things to your car , this particular dealership certainly dosen't support you.

that lip spoiler is very very easy to install, its sad that they sold it but would not install it.

took me about 30 minutes once i removed the front bumper.......
Honsetly you should do it yourself, there are actual templates on the back of the front bumper cap of where to dremmel out, then just snap it on.

how much did they charge at the chevy place?

.....funny. The kit only cost me $900 at the dealership. It's $860 at Sparks and THEN $73.12 for UPS ground shipping (The box is HUUUUUGE) bringing the grand total of TRDSparks.com to $933.12

$900 at dealership > $933.12

I know its simple, but i'd like to have a place to take it back to if anything happens. Easier to hold someone else accountable

The parts guy at toyota told me that in the labor book the lip kit install was only 0.8 hours. The chevy place said that would be like $50 but they really couldn't commit to a price without seeing everything. When i talked to them, the box was still over at the Toyota dealership. WAY too big to fit into the tC. Parts guy is going to run it over to the chevy place in the morning for me about the same time i drop my car off.
