I'm new to the board. I've been selling Toyota/Scion for the past couple of years. I've been a Toyota enthusiast for the past 7 years. Lately I've been thinking that we need to have a good Toyota/Scion event in the Raleigh area. I've got some DJ hook ups. Does anyone have any thoughts?

 

BBQ, music and little giveaways with a cruise afterwards usually get them going. ill swing up there.

only if its on a Sunday though.... i work mon thru sat :-(

 

I might be down depending on day, mine is stock but I would like to check out the other cars and chat with people.

 

i work @ toyota/scion of concord. glad to hear u want to do something. our area is severly lacking enthusiasm from the dealership side. i'll help u out any way i can. let me know what,when and i'll push it in my area

 

I would love to come to a Toyota/Scion meet in the Raleigh area. I live in Garner and work at RDU, and see lots of Scions everyday on my daily commute; but don't know how many of the owners are into the "Scionlife", vs just using their cars for daily transportation devices. I know 3 other Scion owners personally that I can invite who really love their cars! I hope this can work out! Do you work for Fred Anderson or Leith?

 

I talked to our Scion manager last night about having an event here (Leith Toyota) and he said he had already been thinking about having an event around the time of the xD release. He has already talked to several radio stations about it. I've started to get a DJ line up in place. So far I've Jae Kress and Chamberlain Sound on tap. I'm also thinking that it would be good to get some vendors involved. It would be on a Saturday because we're closed on Sundays. Anyone that wants to participate in the vendor or music aspect let me know.

 

That would be great. Been trying to get SE together with F/A in Raleigh but they weren't to interested - let me know maybe we can get something going.

 

Its going to happen, its just going to be a matter of when.... What kind of accessories/music/food would lure you guys in?

I'm the new Chapter Liaison for the North Carolina Chapter of Scion Evolution. Let me know what you want to get together, and I'll be happy to help out and to try to rally the SE folks in the area as well.

We have about 50 members spread out across eastern North Carolina between the two chapters that we have out here, and are happy to get involved in any events that we can.

I am already planning a small show/meet at Greenville Toyota on Sept 8 for the xD release, so if possible I'd like them to happen on separate weekends, but I possible could slide the Greenville Toyota show a couple weeks as well. Let me know what you think.

Count me in. I bought my xB from Leith in September and I'm loving it. For the most part it's bone stock, since I use it for hauling around my toolboxes and any house items, but I'll wax it up real nice.

I can't find any Scion love where I am. See a few driving around, but zilch for events\meets!

 

How far away is Kings Mountain from Raleigh? I'd say get on Scion Evolution and see if there are any chapters near you or perhaps go to the Dealer and see what they know about local clubs.

 

My dealership doesn't know jack . Raleigh is about 4hrs from me.
