Default sad day in louisville

..my wife has had her white auto tC since the 1st week in sept. of '04 .
she waited 3mos . to get side air bags .( i insisted )
she added the 6disc , b-pillar applique , front strut tie bar ( hotchkis) , mudguards , cargo liner , door sills and the mats & cargo mat .
she has under 14K miles on her garage kept tC , mainly drives it to work .
there lies the problem , she works at the FORD plant .
on 4-18-06 , the new plant mgr. declared all non-ford cars must park in lot 0 .
she had until May 1st .
this was over 3/4 mile from her gate of entry .
she always parked over 150 yds . , out by herself , to protect her tC .
...well to make a long story short ; i leased her a mazda3 s touring .
at the mazda store , i asked the sales rep if he knew much about the tC .
he said , the only thing he knew was , when people drove his car and said they were going to drive the tC , he never saw them again .
i got the 3 , 'cause who wants a mexican Focus , built by non UAW workers .
the real shame is FORD produces some good cars , but refuses to market them in the states . ( see June issue of Car & Driver )
oh well , guess the tC will go up for sale next week . she is very sad .she loved this car.
at least , FORD isn't making their employees buy their stock .
oh yeah , you can still ride your Honda or Harley bike to work .
hope FORD enjoys their truck sales for awhile longer , 'cause the "new" Tundra will start to overtake their outdated cash cow soon enough.
wish they would have waited until Sept. , then as with all FORD products ; there would have been 0 down , 0 interest and $5K rebates +++.

Non-Fords must park away from the plant? Isn't that a form of Discrimination? That just isn't fair.

Your union there must suck... That crap just wouldn't fly where I work... They'd have about 600 employees on a picket line right now.

Instead of bullying employees into buying their cars, they may want to go the other route and make some decent cars that people actually want to buy. What a bunch of ****less pieces of ****.

I would have parked in lot 0 and spread 7/8" roofing tacks thru the other lots as I walked in.

Gotta love the UAW. They do it at more than just Ford plants. I belive some places also include foriegn verisons (Mazda or Volvo) of American cars on the no no list.

I was wondering why I keep seeing a white tC all the time. It does suck. My friend works there and he drives a nice EVO and he chose to never park near work because the other workers always messed with non Ford cars. I would keep the tC and park where she wants. If you want I can be hired as security to watch her car.....

I think it's crap to make them park way the hell away from the plant. I feel pretty sure that it's not legal just because they don't drive a Ford doesn't mean crap.

It may not be legal, but the thugs have subtle ways of telling you that you've made an error in judgment: slashed tires, busted out windows, etc.

There's a double standard too. I'll bet people who drive a Honda motorcycle can park where they want...

Sorry to hear that. I suppose your wife has no other choice than to work there. Good luck with the 3. They are nice little cars. I actually considered getting one before I got my box. I personally would not drive a Ford if they gave it me and paid me to drive it...

From what i heard on the news the union was really big in supporting the idea. If i worked there i would buy a ford festiva to drive to work and paint "i'd rather be driving a scion" with spray paint.

That's really stupid. I say sue those *****. That's why they have to sponsor American Idol to sell their cars.

Buy an Edsel and park it in the Ford lot. It was the biggest joke in the history of FOMOCO..........
