that's what i was afraid of haha. i'm planning on moving out to columbia from california, and i was wondering if there was anywhere close i can board at. thank you very much for your input

that's what i had found. i think greenville had a resort. ugh lol, i've got some time but geez. i'm not moving there for another year but i'm just trying to get a feel for what i'm getting myself into.

we're heading to Columbia area in a week--for a "small" fee, i can leave all our possessions behind and load the u-haul with snow instead. May not make for a huge run, but ( while it lasts ) it could be quite entertaining in the front yard!

I am actually heading to snow shoe myself next weekend and it will be my 3rd trip out boarding. Thats probably the best place I know between that and Appalachian. (Only ones I've been too)

Sugar is actually not that bad (though rather expensive). It has the longest run in NC. App is fun and they have a really good terrain park, but I can't get over the longest run only taking about 58 secs to get to the bottom. Winterplace is a good hill in WV right along I-77 which goes through Columbia if I'm not mistaken. There are options for you as long as you're willing to do some traveling.
