Throw Down 3.0 may 13 or may 20 2007 Your Thoughts??
Hey Tom Sagan (scionturtle) here.
I am the scion manager at Hoover Scion on the outskirts of B'hm AL
I am setting up our next big show and would love to have more midsouth folks there. I thought that I would post this and try to find a non conflicting day in May. I am thinking either the 13th or the 20th. Your thoughts

Okay Just had a delicious lunch of Chinese food with the boss and we talked about many things... the biggest of which was Throw Down 3.0 and he loves my new idea. I have bounced it off a few of you but now it is official. We are calling it
Hoover Scion Throw Down 3.0 ... Family Feud
and why that name you ask?? Well because we are opening up the show to Toyota & Lexus owners. Although at the first one the categories for them will be fairly limited. So what do ya all think??? This will increase the # of vendors that I can attract which means more stuff to give away. It will also increase the # of people who attend

Come on guys... the judges were as independent as we could buy....uh, I mean find...
Every contest I have ever been to has had something that no matter how innocent looked like the fix was in. None of the judges were employees of Hoover, and there is not much of an event "staff"...
We, as a club, tried to put on a good show. Were there errors and misques? You bet. Are we working on fixing them? Yep. Will something happen next time that someone won't like? I guarantee it. I just don't know what it will be until it happens. And this aint even my show! It's just my club that is hosting it.

A host, club or individual, should be able to show but not enter thier vehicle. Why enter your own show? There is nothing wrong with showing off your car,hell we all love to do that, but just don't enter.

the concept of it being open to the other cars is cool if we can get the room and get the judging started sooner and a little better organized. We dont need the same judges as before, get some new judges. The biggest thing that a lot of people had a problem is that the people work from the dealership were in the show and walked away with a lot of prizes. There should be a Dealership Best and let us decide the winner, that way we keep it fair.

My point exactly, dealer employee and event staff cars shouldn't be entered with the others and if they are they should be in a different group.
