Ok, So I want to plan a large meet or show for the end of the summer. What I'd like to see is most of the active members from NC and SC in one place together. I know some of us have traveled here and there on different ocassion. But I really think it's time to pull off a huge meet. I mean the headcount is 7 pages long and 64 people. I've never seen more then 10 cars show up at a meet, so its time.

I'd really like to see us do a show of sometime, even if its informal. I'd also like to shoot for a late summer early fall time frame so that we can time to plan. I'd like to keep the location somewhat central, so that most people will be no more then 3 hours away. Once we nail down some details, I'll try and hustle up some prizes and stuff like that so that we can draw a bigger crowd. I'll also look into some flyers if there is enough intrest.

So post your ideas here and see what we can figure out.

I am down for that, we have all these people who post up and you are right, that is just sad to see 10 or 12 show up for a meet.......I think it needs a couple of months notice so that plans can be made by all!!!!!! Whereever this is held, we need to get the local dealerships involved so they come off od the goods!!!!!! When they do meets in New York and such they get all sorts of mad help from SCION and dealerships!!!!! I SECOND THIS MEET IDEA!!!!!!!

I think its a great idea! But where is central carolina? In between the triad and charlotte is a good idea i think.

 

Great idea, I am a commercial truck driver for Hertz Corp., so making a road trip is second nature to me! I would enjoy meeting other Scion owners in our region. Keep me posted and count me in!

I'm in for this one as well. When we get a place and date nailed down I'll see what kind of goodies I can get for prizes. It's kinda hard for me to suggest a date because I have the FMF show here in Myrtle Beach in august and then NOPI in September. I'm cool with whatever date is decided on.

Yeah the late fall is kind of full. Maybe a Early Sept time frame might be a better idea. I'll have to look around and see when Freak Show and the PP show are.

 

i like this idea too so count me in too.. But i still wanna meet at the place where the charlotte meet is at which it is at concord scion/toyota. we can meet n still think of a spot to go for the big one...

but honestly, if it is held in charlotte i will not go. i am not driving 5 hours. i think we need to find a CENTRAL location for everyone. so that some of us aren't driving 5 hours while others are only driving 20 minutes.

we need a compromise between the eastcoasters and the central people.

 

I am gonna be in Phoenix Sept 8th-13th. Otherwise I am in for when ever.

If there is intrest, We can work the big one into the show I am planning on Sept 2nd. This is pretty much Charlotte, so its pretty central. RH has a ton of hotels, If some people needed them I am sure we could get a group rate. Only downfall of this is I won't have as much time as I'd like to meet and chat.

i say combine with ur show spider, since im also pushing to have our monthly meet there as well. thats my opinion, and u know that opinions r like horses a$$e$, everybodys got one.

 

and if ya'll come to charlotte im sure a couple of ya'll can couch surf...i wont have all the amenities and fancy stuff but if u short on dough n u need it first come first serve...youll need to BYOsleepstuff, feed and clean up after yourself...hehe

 

I just am really thinking this is a lost cause, since no one is ever willing to travel except a select few from charlotte. Charlotte people have been to meets all over both states. But with 2 exceptions, no ones ever made it to QC meets. I am pretty sure that the QC has been represented at every meet in both states. Which is fine, but this is the reason I am not willing to make any real investment in this idea.

 

i understand where spider is coming from too---nc is central to TN n SC ---lets realllllly try and do this. and proto---youre just down the road!!!
