MIA
dalton i will be mia this weekend. we're taking a scion adventure to the scion bounty hunters exposed in new york. leaving in about 5 hrs and will be back mon am. about 1300 miles round trip. that'll help keep me out in front of sciond in the mileage dept. we're hoping to see the world trade center area and maybe the statue of liberty on the way back. ive never been above va and dalton has never been north of nc. i plan on taking a photo of him at every state sign.
fuel for 1300 mile trip - $90
fast food restaraunts - $75
spending quality time with my son - PRICELESS
as for the new job, im waiting on my references, they said everything else was ok. may be able to start next week which is why im going to ny since i will prolly miss the atl exposed due to work. if anybody wants to be used as a reference call 704-979-7700 and ask for Miles Honeycutt. the sooner i get the ref, the sooner i go to work.

it was a blast. 1400miles in 48 hrs. scored a ton of free stuff. ill now have a different scion shirt for every day of the week for at least 2 weeks.met a lot of nice people, met a lot of not so nice people too, but i guess thats just cause they r just new yorkers ill post pics later after i download everything. judging for the car show was about like it here. the two that won in xb, bad paint, horrible fiberglass, dirty. but hey, we went to have fun, and we did. the tc's were really out in force. several with superchargers, a couple of nice xas. we were lucky that we only had one little sprinkle when they were calling for rain. so we were given scion umbrellas to help keep everybody dry. dalton and i played football with his scion football, he played in the video tourney, he almost won a bmx bike. after we left, we went to the WTC, and then went to see the statue of liberty. im glad i had the dvd player and the playstation. that helped with a 10 yr old for 12 hrs. after he was done being my navigator. i had everything printed off mapquest and he would read me everything. going up we had a detour,(dalton has now been as far north as pennsylvania) but it wasnt his fault. overall i was a little dissappointed that there wasnt more cars there, but we still had a blast, and i got to spend some quality time with dalton.

i think the vise grips is what gave him the win for best of show. i liked the design of his box, but execution was horrible. if you close in on the pics, u can see the runs in the paint, the unfinished fiberglass, etc, etc. the brown one next to him took best xb. im taking out my grills and spraying paint all over the place. im not complaining, just stating fact. dalton and i still had a ball.(literally)
