I waited to commit to this...all along I really wanted to go, I'm sorry to say that I will not be able to attend.
My wedding is in October, so its getting a lil crazy with all the stuff going on. Showers, dance lessons, and I started back to school to become a paramedic. Still workin 2 jobs...So yea, I'm a lil overwhelmed at the moment.
I hope you all have a good time, I know I did the passed 2 years. The leaves should be real pretty. If you have not scheduled for a hotel yet, I recommend you do so soon. Its a busy time of year up there durring apple fest.
I have a special request to anyone that is 21. If your uncomfortable with it then its fine, but I'm more then happy to pay you for this.....
Anyone on this cruise 21?
I have 4 beer growlers from Fitgers that I need refilled. I'll pay you $30 to fill them, not including the cost to fill them. So basically your gas for this trip.
Let me know. Heres a link to Fitgers, it is in your travel direction, not out of the way.
Fitgers Hotel website (Brewhouse is inside the hotel) : http://www.fitgers.com/

If $30 isnt enough, then let me know..I'm pretty poverty here, but I'll make it worth your while. I'm not in that area often (like once a year) but I really like their beer.

so if you are telling us to make a hotel reservation, any recommendations being that you've done this before

I also stayed at the best western a lil up the coast. Was about $89 a night and not anything spectaculer...but when you are tired that doesnt matter.
If you stay anywhere near canal park, expect to pay atleast $30- $50 more a night...just because its canal park.
Also, if you are going up to grand mareigh? Not sure on the spellin there lol...but yea, I recommend a place in beaver bay called Cove Point. Also an amazing place. They only have views of the lake, nothing else. So its very pretty, but spendy. I went in January, was about $150 less a night by going then. Still cost me about $150 a night though haha.
I'm not sure on hotels in grand marais though. I havnt stayed up there, just drove through. I know there are several campsites in the area up there. I think its around $30 a night. I would recommend that. Nothing better then the loons at night and the ripple of the lake or stream. My sister and fiance stayed up there in a campsite. I can get the info and post it later. She's asleep right now.
Tak, you have pm bro.
