Default got a new tv!

After years of waiting out the prices, I finally got an HDTV.
Its a Samsung 40" L-ns4041D LCD 1080i with progressive scan. Came with a 5 year warrenty. Got it for half the price of retail.

If anyone else is interested, heres the company in Edina I got it from. www.secondact.com

Assassins creed on the xbox 360 looks amazing. I cant believe how old and unatractive people look on tv lol. Conan O'brien looks like poo. Same with Paula Abduel on American Idol

Anyway, on to the pics of before and after.

Its a 1080i/p
Got it for $900 and it was local pickup, so that saved me $175 bucks.

Brian, glad you got such a deal on the tv. I hope nothing goes wrong with it. I have been reading some of the reviews today about the company on other sites and 35 - 40% of the reviews were talking about how poor their customer service was.

I shop at www.newegg.com

I compared the prices on a few TVs and you get a new TV on newegg for the same price as a refurbished on second act. I got a 46" 1080p (1920x1080) on newegg for 1100 after shipping (this was on black Friday/Cyber Monday). Not that I'm trying to burst your bubble...just want you to get a good deal.

1080p is kind of over hyped. You will only notice a difference between 1080i and 1080p if one of a couple things:

Playing video games, or
A TV bigger than 50 inches.

Or watching a High Def DVD. 1080P is completely worthless when it comes down to just watching cable television. HD channels are only broadcast in 720P.

I'm waiting for the 37" Sharp Aquos to drop a little more in price.

No, they weren't complaining about price. It was follow-up service concerning the tv's failing/not working properly that they were getting bad reviews on.
