Default layed off...

So,I've just been "let go" from my company after nine years......

HELP!

money's short so I won't last long without work, and I'm networking to everyone to be on the look out.

My job title was "Systems Engineer". Basicly networking, servers, desktop support.
I have my MCSE, A+, N+ and nine years customer service.

PLEASE, PLEASE email me with any leads, THANK YOU

NO WAY!! Sorry to hear that man! You'll have to sell the PSP!!

After I got laid off up in Duluth, I ended up at Internet Broadcasting in Mendota Heights. Here is the page of their current job openings. You might be able to find something!

Here are a couple more relatively off-beat resources to help you find something.

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org this is where I found IB to begin with
http://www.simplyhired.com IMHO, the google of job search engines.

If you would like some beer PM me. (Hey hey hey, not EVERYBODY c'mon.)

Sorry to hear that! My dad got laid off in April and finally found a job. He was looking at a very similar position but he didn't have as much experience as you do. He went through a couple of different Job firms to help place him. The one that he got the job through is called Insight I think. Good luck, I'm sure you'll find a job soon!

Thanks to all for the positives!
- draven, I'm actually alergic to beer, but am avial for whiskey shots! I will NOT be selling the Misstress... She was bought in cash and not an option. I DO have to very smart and cute children though that gotta bring top dollar......JK!!!!!
- jallamas, sadly I will not relocate as I have wife, kids, house and both extended families here. Thanks though.

I've spent the last couple days extracting myself from my last job. Many customers are not happy, and are sending me letters of reccommnendation... I have some great leads in related fields that seem not only very interesting, but financially rewarding...

Agian, though really, thanks. If any of you happen to hear of something particullar, email me @ nds_carnivore@yahoo.com.

( will work for performance parts ) ;)

I can understand not wanting to relocate with family close to you, I am also in the process of looking for work too. Good luck and enjoy your winter. j/k

Very sorry to hear that man! I will keep an ear out for ya as well. The BU I work for was in need of a couple of people in my group, but they filled them. It is possible that more may be open eventually though.

Go to thier website here: http://www.cargill.com/careers/oppor...ortunities.htm

and see if you find anything. They are the largest privately held corp. in the world, so they have a pretty big work force :D I did a quick search and found 25 openings here in the twin cities for IT alone.. there are lots of other categories as well. Good luck!

Not to bust on you, but it sounds like a SAVINGS ACCOUNT should be your next mod. I think the 'chassis mods' can wait a few months...or longer! I know things get rough and this may already be in place, but you never know when it'll happen again! Good luck AND congrats on the new job!

Nice find. I hope things go well for you there. It sucks how in todays world a good job can go just like that. My advice is to learn learn learn. The more you know, the easier it is to find a job! And by more I mean diversified... keep as many different skill sets as possible.

Thnaks to all, agian. x_rayted, I DO have savings....
Last year I built a 50k garage..., Regular house payments..... TWO KIDS who eat, grow need shoes..... GAS...... FOOD....etc,etc.

I would have lasted approx three months without any income. I networked well, and have found a great new start,

The mods will be partiially funded, and done in da garage....

bluenjsciontc, I have no home isp untill dec 8th at a minium, I will contact you after that, just out of curiosity though...

I figured, nds...I was kinda joking with my smarta$$ remark...I know how it is to be without a job. And I too get overly anxious to get back to work, no matter how much I have in savings. Please don't take my JOKE as a cheapshot.
Anyway, congrats on the new job!

Post your resume on monster.com and hopefully you will get a job offer locally. I'm sure you will be offered contractual work since there is a lot of companies looking for that type of offer. Good luck.
