Default new guy intro

Hey all, new to the scion scene and since my wife has loved the xB since it came out, I decided to get her one. I am an "old" guy but pretty much a tinkerer and I am always looking at the cool things people do to their cars. No big plans other than a stereo (see pics of finished sub box) and maybe an axle back exhaust. I am not a fan of the grapefruit shooter exhaust so I am waiting to hear the right one for me.

I am an old car audio installer, and as a matter of fact I work for Best Buy corporate as a technical trainer. But please, no flames on that. I can go to a billion other forums and get bashed if I want. lol.

here is a couple of pics of the xB and the sub box I just put in.

Nice looking ride and sub box! When did you get your xB? Got any other plans for the box other than the axhaust and the stereo?

Thanks for the welcome! I got the car a month ago at Burnsville Toyota. It is used but I got a pretty good deal on it. The stereo will evolve into more than it is now, I have an AVIC-n2 in there and am deciding which amps I want to go with. I am also installing seperates in the doors, and 4 inch speakers up top.

I got the toaster sticker on ebay for cheap. just go to ebay motors, type in scion xB under parts and it is in the emblem section. They have most colors avilable and the silver matches the paint pretty damn close.

I may be able to make saturday, if I can sneak out of a wedding I am suppose to go to.

Now I have to jump in here and find out what *dogs* you have, and do they like riding in your xB?

I have two golden retrievers and a shih tzu, all of whom fit quite nicely in the back of my xB. I justified leather seats because of muddy paws, and toasty buns because of winter in Minnesota.

Welcome to the happy Scion family.

(Josh, can you do a graphic of a smiling box??)

Nancy

If you think a dog can't count, take out three biscuits, and only give him two.

I have a 105 pound yellow lab and a treeing walker coonhound. They love it, but shed like crazy. So we usually take the other car since it is mine and the wife does not want to deal with the hair.

we call him the mellon head!

The xB is a great car. A good way to have fun with it is when you are filling up and the person with the huge truck is laughing at you for owning such an "ugly car" start whining that it cost you 24 bucks to fill it up and you only went 280 miles. It shuts people up. And you can laugh at the fact they paid 80 to fill up thier truck.
