Okay so someone decided to hit and run on my car a few weeks ago (I posted it sometime ago here). We filed a police report, called the insurance company and they called up a bodyshop to fix up the damages. They gave an estimate of about 3 days. Okay so I was cool with that. A couple days later, they called us up and said that they would have to order a new hood, new headlights, and a new bumper. WTF!!!?!?!?!?! I asked why and they said that when they hit the bumper it moved everything upwards thats why the hood was scrunched up. They would have to order the parts and the wait for them to come is aobut 5 days. Oh and they also said that the amount of damage was $1800-$2200. Oh and also the was a dent on the side of my car, kinda close to the door and we asked how much would it be aobut to fix that part up. Guess what they said... $685 frickin dollars!!!!!! Now I have no car to drive for a week, this is ____...

Well first of I wont be saying this if someone hadnt hit and run my car. If I am whining, then I am whining about the amount of damage done to the car, not that I dont have a car to drive.

 

Really quit your whinning at least you INS company is fixingit. My friends ex had his fairly new Infinity parked outside his house a drunk driver literally slammed into his car pushing it about 8 feet from its spot. Destroyed his car, some how the f**ker that was driving managed to drive his car away from the scene before anyone realized and my friends ex is sh** out of luck because his INS company said they will only do so much becasue they other driver cant be found.. So all in all his car is totaled and he has to buy a new one... So count yourself lucky..

I think you are more than right to whine! Yea some people don't have a car, but when you do and it was new how can you not whine. I got in an accident in January of last year. It took me awhile to find all of the parts I wanted to replace the damaged panels with; CF hood, Vented fenders, halo headlights...and have been waiting for almost a year to drive it again. It is now at the body shop, a friend of mine is doing it for cheap so I can't complain but it is taking forever. He has been out of town for 2 mos and will hopefully have it done this week. I have said that quite a few times though..I thought he would have it done a long time ago!

 

lol, i doubt that highly....that would be illegal for insurance to do.

 

Not really the dipsh** kid bought the car out right cash and didnt have collision on it so therfore the insurance company technically doesnt have to pay for it...

 

Okay so you say that if you got a brand new car, get it hit without being your fault, get it sent to a bodyshop, and wait longer than they said it would be, you wont get ____ed?? I am sure that your friend got mad when his car got hit too. That doesnt mean that I cant get ____ed off about it. Oh, and also I cant find the other driver that hit me either and my insurance still pays for it. Even if they pay for it my insurance goes up too. Insurance at our age is very expensive. Even with a good student discount and a perfect driving record I still have to pay $1400 every 6 months at $250 deductible, so I believe that I have a right to be mad!

you can allways shovel snow to earn extra cash since you live in MN.....lol .......Anyhow....its better for the bodyshop to find everything NOW...and not for you to find more damage later that wasn't fixed in the first place..by the sounds of it...you'd get more ____ed having to take it back a second time........so...chill out...let them fix it and enjoy your rental car until it gets fix...be thankful that you are safe and alive and can talk about it.....its just a car..you pay for insurance for a reason and a $250 deductible ain't much...enjoy your cold cold winter !

I never said you can't be ____ed...hell I would be ____ed too but you don't have to whine about it. Would you like some cheese.....

 

I am not saying not to be ____ed all I am saying is at the same time be thankful.. So what it will take longer that in turn means better for you.. If a body shop told me it would take 3 days to fix my car I'd be worried either they have NO business at all ( which means they arent well known or reputable ) or they do some sh**ty work. Like it was said above better for them to take longer and get out alll the problems now then get the car back realize theres problems send it back and wait even longer.. IMO I would be ____ed too if some a**hole hit my car and I had to suffer with out 1 but theres a silver lining to everything...

Worstest? I'm sorry, but I think you meant WORST. He has it easy to be honest, not to criticize him or anything but a few days is nothing. My car has been in the shop for 1.5 months and that's painful as hell to rely on people to carpool when you used to provide the rides yourself. Good thing insurance is covering it, and sorry to hear about the hit and run.

 

I'm pretty sure he meant worstest!! In myworld, that's a perfectly legit word...like bestest, mostest...

it is felatio to say that he has it easy, simply because someone else has it worser.
i have it easy, because no punkases have hit my box. (knock on wurst) he has it sucky cause someone did.
why would you try to one-up someone's misery?
my bruther-in-law does that same thing; he'll never let you mention something that sucks without letting you know that he has it exponentially wurst.

but anyways The part that sucks the most is that they wont even give me a rental car at all!!
