I agree. I had nothing to do with organizing this. I was asked to pass the information along. I am only the messenger.
I do hope there will be some people there anyway. When we get it together this spring after the new xB lands, we'll do some all age and 18+ stuff.

Thank *you*! I hope you're going to listen to the music and have fun inside, too. Right now it looks like the cars will be parked outside on the street in front of the theater. They did this last year, and the Varsity plugged the meters for the people whose cars were there. I think we're pulling one RS 4 inside that can stay all night. This way, those of you who show up for a while will be able to cruise on to your next St. Patrick's Day event easily. I'll post as I know more details later. *Watch this spot*!!

I asked the Varsity person I talked to yesterday if there is a way to hold those places for you. Her response was--it's Dinkytown on street parking. It shouldn't be a problem. I am going to have the Regional Manager, who is bringing down a Torched Penny xB to have inside, contact her again and see if they can't put a couple of bags over the meters until you get there. In the event that they can't do it, I may see if I can bring the xB down early myself and put a bag on the meters. Maybe if I just lie in the street...
I had a great time - the actual bands didn't get started for awhile, which was too bad. I saw a bit of Black Blonde. I saw a lot of girls taking pictures by the cars - lots of good comments! We'll have to put up some of those photos from the event - the RS4 just looked sick with the lights and the fog!
It was a lot of fun being at Varsity on Saturday. Too bad that JP, Susann and myself couldn't stick around all night. The RS4, like Chris said, looked sick with the lights on it. I will get those pics online asap. Thanks for inviting us, Nancy!

It was so cool to see your cars in front of the Varsity! Thanks to all of you! I'm really glad you all were able to make it. I wish I'd known about it farther in advance, too. There's going to be lots of things happening this spring and summer. The City Pages people co-sponsored that event, and I'll be talking with them myself now, so I should have more warning on when things are going on. That will give *you* more warning, and summer rims should be going on cars pretty soon now, too.
I assure you I had more fun than anybody, but Dinkytown has changed since I went to the U. and worked there. Yikes, I'm old. Sure was fun to feel like I was in college again.
