why would you have a scion sponsored event for 21 + when the brand is centered around people 18 to like 26. It really sucks to be an 18yr old when u guys put on these events. I feel so left out...

I'm done whining now!

Thank you for the tremendous response to the PREVUE event so far. RSVPs are coming in fast and we are excited as you are about the event. We wanted to take a moment to address a couple of questions that have popped up about the event on this forum as well as in PMs.

First, yes - the event is strictly a 21 years and over event. The event registration homepage now has this clearly stated. We apologize that information was conveyed clearly for those who registered earlier. Obviously, we keep an eye out on the forums - one reason for the delay in clarification is that we tried to see how we could make this a 18+ event.

Unfortunately, as some of you have correctly guessed - venue rules, regulations, and insurance make this not possible.

Please note that, understandably, the venue has indicated that it will STRICTLY enforce the age requirement.

We apologize to Scion owners affected by this; this event is one of many Scion events that will be taking place this year - many 18 and event below 18 friendly. We hope that anybody unable to attend this event will attend other Scion events (including the 18+ Scion Winter GP II event sticky'd in this forum).

Scion obviously tries to accommodate its owners as much as possible, but we regret that we cannot be universally accommodating at this particular event.

Secondly, as posted elsewhere in this thread, our selected venue's operation license was temporarily suspended beginning last weekend in response to several code violations. We are told that the situation should not affect our invite-only Feb. 22 event.

That said, we are following the situation and any changes to the event will be distributed at scionVIP.com, via email, and through forums.

Thanks for everybody's understanding, and thanks for your support of Scion and Scion events!

As always, feel free to contact us with questions via PM, at scion@urbanracer.com, and via telly at 718 279 2202.

I Scion do a meet at McDonalds so children of all ages can go

Screw that! Young Buck

j/p. I can understand where your coming from, buts it not like this is the only Scion sponsored event this year. You'll be 21 someday.

I think I recall reading somewhere that they were picking the winners of the VIP packages around the 25th of this month.

Yea but I feel like consistently meets focus on the 21 plus crowd. The VIP event at SEMA IAS had a 21+ night, and alot of the trips they sponsor end up at night clubs and open bars where 18+ isnt an option. Exprescion worked out well where you had wristbands determining your age.

I dunno, I just think its wierd cuttin out so much of the targeted age range. Us under 21 can only really attend their show events or F1 in boston. I dunno, I was just letting my feelings known.

I do have to say, thank you to VIP for what you do offer us and I really think its great what you are doing. You have really provided experiances that I and many others will never forget. Thanks so much.

I know there has been a lot of talk about the 22nd and then the 25th being the days that the VIP members were going to be notified, but where is this info coming from? I know I bought into them like everyone else, but I just realized, Why?
Just curious to see if I missed it actually being posted by Scion anywhere.
