10/31 Scion Halloween Car Show
The New York Shiba Rescure and Team ScioNRG wants to put together a charity car show on Halloween. Before we go crazy making arrangements, I want to make sure there is some interest.
Date: Saturday Oct 31st
Time: TBA
Location: Staten Island, New York. I will let you know the exact location.
Charity: NYC Shiba Rescue: nycshibarescue.org
There will be a donation fee to have your car in the car show. Not sure how much yet. Probably 10-15 bucks.
All the proceeds will go to the NYC Shiba Rescue. Recently, NYC Shiba Rescue had to turn down dogs, because they are underfunded and spend too much money on sick dogs. Therefore, we would like to help!
Of course there will be trophies: The usual, plus best costume, etc. Raffles, 50/50.
Of course, this is open to ALL scions
I will have more details shortly.
Is this something you all would be interested in?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys, I just want to give everyone a little more insight of what we are going to try to get going. But first, a little more information on what this is really about... Shibas Inu dogs that have been abandoned, left for dead, or just disowned.
http://nycshibarescue.org/what-we-do/
and of as September 2009
Now, what we are looking to do, is get everyone together for a day full of fun, a car show, food, meeting and playing with some Shibas' etc.
What we have in mind, is using a lot by Petco, and getting a few sponsors' for this event that will allow us to give out raffles, give-aways, 50/50s and of course, a fully judged scion car show. As Randi previously said, entry to the car show will be around 10-15 dollars. Furthermore, we are hoping to get Scion Corp involved to make this event even better.
Even if you don't come for the car show, come for the dogs. And if you don't come for the dogs, come for the car show! Its a win-win situation for everybody!
And of course, it will have a Halloween theme, so if you want to dress up your car, yourself, or your dog, then so be it!
IF anyone has any ideas, comments, or anything else, please spit it out! The more we have to work with the better!
thanks everyone!
