Horsham RC Racing of Horsham, PA will be sponsoring a RC drifting contest that will take place during the show on Sunday, October 29th.
Outline:
Racing will be held on a head-to-head basis. Two racers will be paired head to head in a drift attack. In the drift attack, speed and accuracy will matter. Whoever gets across the finish line first wins. Loser is eliminated, winner moves on to the next opponent.
The course will be outlined with Road Dome barriers, and cones will be used to mark corners and boundaries.
Winner takes home a $100.00 gift certificate to Horsham RC Racing.
Rules:
- Electric cars only. Since this will be in the shop area, no nitro cars will be allowed due to noise and fumes.
- 4wd or 2wd touring-type chassis only. Ex: AE TC3/TC4, Yokomo SD, Tamiya TT01
- Any tires allowed, as long as they allow the car to drift.
- While event is under way, do NOT turn radios on in the show area. Last thing anyone wants is a runaway car that can cause damage to someones 1:1 ride.
If you are interested in this event, but lack a vehicle to participate with, don't worry! I will be on hand with 2-3 of the Horsham RC rental vehicles which can be rented for the contest for the extremely low rate of $5.00 per person. Battery will be included with rental.
Also, there is still time to buy and prepare a car. Brands such as Tamiya, Yokomo, and Team Associated all make cars that are classified as 4wd touring cars.
Any questions, please PM me or Peruzziscion about the event.

Thanks for posting the thread Zack. Maybe I can find some time to actually paint a body that looks half decent and fits before this event. I doubt it. Time is super tight for me already and I dont see a lot freeing up behind the event. Guess my beat up BMW body will have to do assuming it stays on the car....
EVERYBODY COME OUT TO THE EVENT! ITS GETTING BIGGER AND BETTER EVERYDAY!
We just hit 40 Scions registered for the event!!!
