Default Boston tint

Anyone here from the surrounding Boston area that knows a place where I can get some very good window tint? I'm looking to keep it legal and am looking to do all my windows except the windshield. Probably willing to drive as far as 15 miles to get it if it worth it, no more. Everyone I know got this cheap window tint that peels off and you can see scratches from the inside part.

* Also I need a little info on tint (I've never tinted anything b4):

What is the price range on window tinting (I'm looking to get outstanding tint lol none of that cheap stuff that peels off) and willing to pay a bunch?

What's the darkest and still legal tint in MA?

How long will it take for my windows to get tinted?

And what are some of the pros/cons of tinting my windows?

Help please !!

Why did you post this here? This should go in regional. 2.5% of us are from Boston.

Sonny's in saugus is where i went i paid 170 for the max leagal which is 35% also comes with 5 year warranty. he runs it out of his house/office so its like in a residential area but trust me he does an excellent job. it should take under an hour to get the tints put on.
pros: car wont get as hot in summer
-wont be bothered by sunlight through side windows as much
-interior wont fade as fast
-looks damn good
-and i think its also a saftey thing also cause the tint will hold all of the glass if it were to shatter
-and im sure theres more
cons: costs money
- glass breaks then the tint will have to be replaced

The legal limite in MA is 35%... I have 20% in the rear and 35% in the front... (I was told by the place that tinted my windows that after the tint dries the actual percent is around 28%) I had it done at CarRisma for $130...

Here is what it came out like:

Im pretty sure that if you could hook us Bostonians up with a group discount, a few of us would def show up to Clair to get some tint done. Just an idea.

OK..so I asked around and found out that we don't actually do tint jobs @ the dealership but work together with ACE and they do it. If we get a group of 5 cars together and do it through Clair we could get about 10% off for each person. Another thing that stinks is that they only do it 3 times a month on tuesdays and all cars have to be there at once..sorry, blame me for the missinfo..hope this helps somewhat though.

I suggest going to Eastern Glass Tinting in Charlestown, MA. Great guy and hand cuts the tint. www.tint-it.com or you can go to Tint Kings in Billerica, MA. Those guys were taught by the guy from Eastern. www.tint-king.com

Tint king is very good, I've had them tint both my cars. of course it helps that I work 2 miles down the road from them The day after I picked up my xA the other month I called them and they were able to take my xA right then, I had it done and back at work less barely 2 hours after I called. It cost me $220 to get all windows but the front window done with a really good quality 45% tint. The legal limit is 35% all around including the glass, which is another 5% or so on the film percentage. If you get a 35% film, it's technically illegal

Does anyone know of any decent tint places out towards Worcester?

Is it still illegal in Mass. to tint the front windows or was there a change in the law?
