ne of u guys gonna show ur cars at all... we have like no scion representation at shows (i get 1st so im not complaining) but id love to see some more cars.... and some healthy competition!

- Talk about Future Events and Show, Possible Locations...

- Possible CT Chapter News Letter, for all members and Possible handouts...

Hey guys(and gals)

whats up, i'm new to the scion board. i bought my scoin on thursday, its great and i'd love to show it off even though its bone stock but hooters... nah... im not going to say i hang out on the pike alot (cause i dont) but hooters isnt the place you want to be. hooters is american cars. i go every thursday 7pm (all you can eat wings for $10,and no i am not fat) and nope, no one loves the import, like DJLukdogg said BEST BUY, TACO BELL, WENDY'S, MCDONALDS, CIRCUIT CITY, BOB'S STORES, BURGER KING are the places to be.. or if it is still lit up krispy kreme. no matter where you go on the pike, after ten minutes of being there the cops will make you move on. in short "pike night" is kinda lame.

 

Thats why were, meeting this time at hooters, will figure out a place to meet for sure if no one likes Hooters....

 

maybe we could try something less...pikeish. We could hit up a mall lot or something maybe... like the westfarms mall... or post mall in milford (hehe i know im 5 minutes away!)

I really dont know tho... my tC doesnt like cops and I dont feel like dealing with idiots at the pike (I deal with enough of em in new haven)

 

I would honestly have to say BOB STORES on the pike would be best since you cant kick anyone out over there as long as no one is stupid, i go there at like 10 or 11 somethings to play wiffle ball in the lot with about 20 people and play till whenever and cops will not do anything. That would be my suggestion since HOOTERS if for old classic cars and they just pack that place very fast.

ohh and PS i will not be able to make it to our first meet ill be in Maryland.

 

I live in plainville so the pike would be ideal for me.......what about the lot wher the old Caldors used to be...across from toys r us.....thats kind of set back from the pike so no crap from the cops......

 

maybe we could try something less...pikeish. We could hit up a mall lot or something maybe... like the westfarms mall... too much security at west farms.....they will kick us out...

 

They are building a new store there and cops sit there, so that would not work, i still would agree with the BOB'S STORE parking lot, there is never any problems from COPS there. But yet again lol i will not make it.

 

Well...I'm gonna head out to the pike this friday...see if there's any other tc's out there....haven't been to the pike in a while.

 

lemme ask North American Motorsports in Vernon... i know nick kinda well and he might be down to have afew people in his lot, depending on how much space they have.

 

Sounds like a plan, even though i have no idea where that is as long as we all get together.

I hardly ever post here. The show scene has been so busy fgor everyone we havent had chapter meetings. Normally we have them every 3rd SXunday at the "club house" which is our chapter sponsor, Lynch Scion. As it stands our nortmal meetings will resume in August when the show scene starts to wind down....unless anyone wants to hook up some other time. I know that every Monday at Ocean Beach n New London they have a free show and shine. Chad and I went up this past Monday and it was packed. Its 100% free. mini golf is a dollar a game and the water slide is 6 bucks for the nite!!!! Its fun, Its FREE and its ON THE BEACH!!!! Besides that its fun to watch the muscle car guys come down and check out the car!!!! Lets try and get a group together for this Monday.
