Default Detailing place in Central Jersey?

Need to get my TC detailed and my parents Toyota Sienna van detailed. Anyone know a person or place that they recommend? Don't want to just go to any old place... I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Whats the name of the place and address? Just gotta figure out with my mom how to get her car down there... its not too bad of a drive.. let me know who to talk to also... I'll let them know you referred me. Thanks!

Just in case... anyone know any other places a little closer to the East Brunswick/ New Brunswick Area?

What exactly do you mean by detail? Inside and oustide? I specialize in exterior and prefer not to do the insterior. I have done full details before, but most of the time the exterior is so bad that I spend all day just working on that (usually 8 AM to 8PM).

I live in South River and can drive over to you or have you drive over to me but it would have to be on a weekend.

As for the exterior I go wash, clay, compound, polish, wax. I have all the tire cleaner, wheel cleaner, etc that you could ever need. The important thing though is that a detail is NOT a paintjob. If you have scratches where there is paint removed then it will not magically be repainted just because you are going for a detailing. I will not be able to get out all dents and cracks and such. It is a detail which for the most part means returning the car to its brand new state, but it is not a bodywork and paintwork job.

awesome! Thanks guys.... guitarguru... I might actually use you for my car... how much do you charge? I do have one scratch along the side of my car that someone did... I think it can be polished out except for a short section of it... how much do you charge... car is generally in pretty good condition... only two year old tc... let me know. I live in EB so its like a 5 minute drive from you. As for the Sienna that my mum drives.. that needs serious interior work... that's what we are mainly getting the detailing done for. So I'll hit up some of the other recommendations.

Bangor... let me know about that guy that comes to your job... though Eatontown is a bit of a hike from my area. Thanks for the other suggestions though!

I've heard of Mirage before... when I was looking around to get my tints... but didn't end up going to them. I might call them up for this though. Thanks!

Thanks Bangor... yeah let me know. After calling around... gonna drop it off with Mirage.. they are the best price around and guy seems pretty straight. But I still need to get my car and my parents' passat detailed also. So yeah when you talk to him... ask him if he'll come down to this area... thanks!

jerzeysanswer - that Mirage Auto Sports in North Plainfield was a disaster. I don't recommend anyone go there.

Guy quoted me $180. It was a decent price, but I figured they were a custom place and someone had recommended them on here. My mum and sister dropped it off yesterday at 2:00pm. They called them three hours later and said it was ready. They asked how it could be fully detailed and ready within three hours, and the guy said they were quiet so three of them were working on it together. They told the guy that they would pick it up this morning. They got there at 9:45 this morning and the car wasn't even finished! They tried to tell her that it was done, but the rims were still dirty, scratches weren't waxed or buffed out on the exterior. The interior was relatively clean but the whole job was nothing better than a premium car wash. It was a disaster. The owner, Marvin, wasn't there so my sister spent 20 minutes arguing with him. He stated afterward that the car wasn't actually finished and that they were meant to come in this morning and work on it until 11:00am and they made a mistake in calling my sister. The place was 20 miles from my house so my sister was livid that they didn't call to tell them. The guy even tried to negotiate down to $150 for a crap job. Finally he said give me $140 and bring the car back another day. Well, couldn't do that as we need the car for my sister's wedding next week. My sister gave him $100 and took the car and said we aren't bringing it back.

Beware of this place guys. I'm definitely putting this place on my blacklist. Guy was trying to scam over my sister and mum with a half assed job because they were girls. Shows a lack of pride in his work and not someone that could be relied upon to take care and do a good job.

Woulda taken the car to Precisions or Detail Doctor if I had known these guys were going to be that bad. Just couldn't get my mum to pay the extra money for the better job. But oh well. Live and learn.

Stay away from Mirage Auto Sports!

lol... I told you what most people do is far from a true "detail" in my opinion. Stay away from people who promise a good deal in a fast amount of time. Most of the time it truly is nothing more than a premium car wash like you said. Whenever you are ready for a real detail just let me know...
