If the TRD muffler for the tC is anything like the xA/xB muffler, it's not too loud but has a nice tone to it.

for the price of a name brand bolt on axle back you can get a muffler shop to weld up a complete catback. i had a 2.25" axleback custom made and you can ask joe how fast my car is now. my clutch wimped out at 25,000 miles.

 

I cant catch him and my car is gutted. I also dont have a header though...

 

we are talking about a tC not an xB.

who’s car is faster comes down to driver skill. any "performance" parts add marginal hp is any.

If scott is saying I cant catch Dustin because of my driving skill I'd have to disagree. Wait til I get my new clutch in next week. Then its on!

 

if it helps our dumb xB engines you would see better gains on a larger displacement engine like a tC has. anybody with real knowlege of cars knows that a better breathing engine frees up horsepower to a point.

and performance parts add performance. thats what they do. hence the name. i guess turbos and superchargers are "performance" and only add marginal hp.

are you guys really trying to start an argument over this...its a 1.5l engine...with all the bolt-ons and some good luck you MIGHT get 100hp to the wheels...who gives a ____.
