Ok guys here is the deal

A local radio station is having a "camp out for hunger". Wmmr's Preston and Steve every year camp out for five days to raise food for Philabundance - which distributes food to the needy in our area.

My plan is to organize a meet Dec. 4 (Thursday) at 7pm and have a lot of scions parked up front and get some publicity.

however the main point for this meet is to have everyone donate. Usually the giant next to where they have the camp out have some food already put into bags for ten dollars and make it easy to donate. however you can already start a donation basket in your place of work so if people can't make it. I will personally go pick up the food for donations. I DO THIS EVERY YEAR FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS.

I just contact the guys and they might be giving us a shout out on air to get more scion owners to come that night.

 

It sickens me that no other people are on here signing up to do this. Take 2 hrs out of your life to help someone who is less fortunate than you. C'mon guys this is a great thing!!

 

So if we are interested what do we just show up at the metroplex and meet up there?

 

if you are interested, show up with canned goods or with some cash. the GIANT at that metroplex every year make a $10 pre made bags to donate.

just to give a perspective on how little things can make a big difference...

1 pound of rice feeds 4 people

your regular 10-20pounds of rice cost anywhere from 5-10 dollars. that
s 40-80 people now have a meal.

this event is no borring thingm ask anyone like Jim who went in years past. It's FUN! there are all kinds of insentives for people like food, drinks, calendars (with hot girls!!!) and many other freebees.
