Flashlight Drag Races at Clarion Airport! Updated with vids!
The Flashlight Drags are coming back to Clarion! My dealership, Allegheny Scion is a sponsor again this summer at the Clarion county Airport. The 07 season kicks off on Saturday May 5th. It costs $5 to get in, $20 more if you want to race. It's legal and it's a blast! Come on out and try the greatest adrenaline rush (racing) or just come to cheer on me and my tC (I need some other Scions to represent). For more information and a complete summer schedule, go to www.flashlightdrags.com
Here is a description from the website:
The Flashlight Drags are designed specifically for “Street Racers”, all types of street legal vehicles; Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles*.
We still offer Old-Fashioned Drag Racing, the way it used to be... Heads up!
More Race Weekends added for 2007!
The format is simple! It costs $25 to race $5 to come out and watch. Kids under 12 are free. Bring some friends. You can race your buddies in 1/8 mile grudge matches, or you can take your chances and run against the field. Newcomers can relax. We’ll help you find a race partner and get you into the flow of the event. You’ll have a blast!
All vehicles must be street legal, and that means real mufflers! In the event that your vehicle makes too much noise, even though you have mufflers, we will ask you to find a way to quiet your pipes or sit on the sidelines. Sorry, no exceptions.

Saturday kicked off the 2007 Flashlight Drag races at the Clarion County Airport. The competition in the tuner class is much better this year, and as usual there were lots of fast muscle cars. My car is the Azure Pearl tC.
My first race was against an Integra. I don't know much about the car, but it was quick. After crossing the finish line I looked over at the driver and threw my hands up. Neither of us could determine winner, we will race again. Sorry, no video of this race.
My second race was against a green V6 Cougar with nitrous. It was darn close, but he took me by about a foot, we will also race again.

My 3rd race was against a silver Cobalt SS Supercharged. I've been waiting a long time to race one. I beat him by just a few feet. We will probably race again after he gets some mods.

My third race was against a Yellow Sentra SE-R Spec-V. It was a lot closer than I expected. I figured I would just walk him.

My 4th race against a stock Nautical Blue tC. He's a friend who wanted to see how a stock tC compared to a blown one. I think he wants forced induction now.

My 5th race was against a dark blue turbo Integra. He claims his car dynoed at 278 whp! I thought I did ok against him.

I hope you all enjoy the videos. The event was a blast. Major thank you's to my boy Gary who took the vids. Next races are on the first Sunday in June. I'll be back with more videos!
