So my friend wants to race me. I tell him that I don't street race because its stupid but I'll race him on a strip if he's down. Problem is I just found out that there are no drag strips on Long Island. I could have sworn we had like two or three strips. Where do the Long Island guys go to race?

I think that one closed down. Should check it out one day. Maybe its still open just not as an official track. Now I'm really not surprised at all the street racing we have around here.
Long Island Dragway has been shutdown for awhile now thx to all the rich crybabies in the Hamptons. Streetracing is stupid... don't do it. Now I was on a rustang site n found this out while ago and looks very interesting:
Holeshot 100 foot Drags @ Nassau Coliseum. 07/13 & 07/27
All Street legal Cars are welcome to this.
Gates at 4pm, test/tune at 5pm, eliminations at 7:30pm.
Multiple "heads up" classes to accommodate everybody - $20 Entry Fee
Also there is a chance to race for $500+ that requires a $50 entry fee.
The more cars, the more $$ available up to $2,000!
for info call 631-991-1614

Looks very interesting and I'll be headin out there to check em out.

^^ I don't plan on street racing. Too many risks. No need to get the innocent involved.
Anyway. That looks very interesting. I might want to go down and check it out as well. tC should perform fairly well in a 100ft race.
