I try to listen to everyone's recommendations and complaints in order to make a better show. Luckily there are very few complaints. This will be updated periodically. Thank you for your support.

For the sake of speed and fairness, we will be implenting a 1st come 1st served setup. There will be no special parking, so please try to come together, if you are in a group. Team Technical Advantage are in full control of setting up the show, to make things more efficient. Please let's all work together.

Also Please bare in mind that I want everyone to enjoy and have a good time, and also be safe as well. Many of you have supported our endeavors and I can not express my gratitude for that, enough. There will be some changes during this year's events, due to Budget constraints.

Please re post this event and invite your friends, family, and/or car clubs that may be interested in coming.

We are still looking for vendors and sponsors for our events. If you are one or know of any who may be interested in promoting us as well as receive additional promotion and advertising through us, please contact me at 845-358-2220 ext 1210 - Royce Ramos

since there is no event thread on here for the JULY 10th rockland show i am posting on here. The following of what i am posting is from one of the judges at the last Rockland show. He wanted me to share this to the Scikotic members after i had read on their forum a bunch of hating going on saying i did not deserve 1st place. All i have to say is, please go look at my build thread everything done to my car is custom w.hardly 1 stock part on my car. I am not a hater i knew i had competition and was not expecting a thing but certain people gota be haters so please read what i am posting below from one of the judges and another part is from what Royce had said. There are a LOT of people that were disrespected including myself.

From one of the judges:
"if i may just step in, not to open a whole new batch of crap or anything, but let me give everyone a few bits of this and that. i have been in the show scene not too much longer but longer that many of you have probably been driving lol. as one of the judges/hosts of the show(i did the non toyota/scions this time) there are a few things eveyone should know. first off, we have all been angry about what we perceive as unfair judging, and we all have thought we should have beat someone else out at least once or twice in our many car shows we have all attended, and this isnt directed towards anyone specific, but this is general stuff.

1)CLEAN YOUR CARS....i know some people just go for free food...but seriously, we are judging and we see FILTHY interiors, FILTHY engine bays, and more than just a few cars that people dont even wash or even run through a gas stations gar wash. Come on people, all because everything is free doesnt mean it isnt a CAR SHOW. i see people roll in, setup there tent and sit down all day waiting for the food bell to ring, while i see others who spend the first 3 hours scrubbing, polishing and cleaning. CLEANLINESS gets points, both dirt wise AND fit and finish of parts and bodywork wise.

2)dont snipe for judging points. if you have stock wheels or calipers or engine bay parts that are painted...that does not get you more than one point, yes its a modification, but if you look on any major car shows judging sheets, the requirement to even register for the show is 5 major modifications...it specifically states no stock wheels, tint doesnt count etc. anybody with half a brain can sit there and rattle can half his car to shame...if the pieces are powder coated or painted and clear coated properly, minimum points will be given and it will be counted. if paint is chipping and cracked and runny and uneven, it looks like you didn't take half the time to do it right...so why should a judge give points for stock parts that were poorly modified? would you? oh, stock factory items do NOT count...leather seats that came with the car....NO. head unit that came with the car...NO. h.i.d's that came stock on the car...NO. its a factory item, and you didnt modify anything, hence no points awarded for it, makes sense? an yes believe it or not, for anyone who reads this that has never judged a car, people tell us all types of stuff to get points, and we can clearly see it is a stock item, dont try and sell us your car, we arent on a used car lot with a sales man going over the cars options.

3)All because your car is turbo/supercharged or has a NOS tank in it or a custom 3" turbo back exhaust...DOESNT MEAN YOU AUTOMATICALLY BEAT A CAR THAT ISNT BOOSTED. get this through your heads, i myself have learned this years ago(especially when i had my Scion tC). Your car has engine modifications, so you probably will score high in the ENGINE MODS category, but what about interior? exterior? audio/visual? cleanliness? wheels/tires? brakes? suspension? you can get a 5/10 for your bolt on turbo kit...but you get a 0 for exterior, a 0 for interior because that may all be factory. so what if someone else has clean exterior mods, interior mods, etc. they may beat you after all the points are added up.

There is no right and wrong way to modify a car.(although most of us know what is cheap autozone modified versus premium parts, custom one off stuff, and garage projects done right. ) Ok so you are going for performance, and the next guy is going for looks, and the third guy is going for audio/visual, and the other guy is going VIP...none of these people are wrong or less likely to win, they are different paths and styles of modifying in the car world and each one is judged un-biased, our cars are a form of our individual expression and what we perceive to be a representation of our style and what we like. no one else has to like it, although it feels good enjoying our cars we work so hard for, or when other people acknowledge our cars looking good, or modifications we have made, and thats what this game is all about. I like car shows because its a beautiful day out, i get to spend time cleaning my car, i see all my friends are car family from the show/street/track scene, get alot of love for my ride, and possibly win a 50/50, door prize or trophy. thats what its all about.

I probably shouldn't have to remind everyone of this, but i will anyways. i know many have heard me say it at the shows and its something that bothers us(the people judging, setting up, braking down, at the dealership etc.) immensely. The Rockland/Toyota car shows are FREE. everything is FREE except the 50/50 and the voluntary to sign up exhaust competition. How many people have gone to a parking lot car show and paid $25.00 or more to enter and NOTHING was free? there was no food, no truck handing out cold drinks, no stuff being thrown away(when scion delivers it). People complain about the judging being screwed up? ok well lets turn this around for a minute, the dealership, royce, myself and others have repeatedly asked and stated there is NO DRUGS and NO ALCOHOL at the show yet i walk around smelling weed and seeing people drinking...this is a direct insult to Royce, the dealership, and the judges, get ____ed up at home or with your friends on the weekends and quit wasting our time, risking royce's job, and further shows at the dealership. do you really need weed and/or alcohol that bad that you cant spend half a day without it? on another note, after a show is over and everyone is gone, of course there is gonna be garbage on the ground, but the difference between a soda bottle or paper plate here an there is way different than what we see and saw alot of last sunday. there was garbage all over the place, at least have the courtesy to put it by the garbage can if the can is full. the dealership does not tolerate seeing that and trust me they are there and paying attention because they arent even to crazy about us parking cars all over their front lawn. we clean it up obviously, but its not beyond the people who just got fed and let in for free to pick up after themselves. Please, for the sake of all of us and continuing these all inclusive shows.

i like hearing feedback from everyone, and i know royce gets alot of it too. I understand not everyone can be happy and satisfied all the time, but guess what, thats life. it sucks, get a helmet. Competition in the car game is what fuels an enthusiast, a tuner, a builder. As i said, any moron can pay someone else to do all the work on their car, a true enthusiast spends hours in the garage, late nights and early weekend mornings perfecting their car, we all share a common bond of blood, sweat, and late night hours that we wear proudly as car people. show a mutual respect for one another, not all of us but most of us are out there for the same reasons. we have one of the largest families that roam the streets from coast to coast, and theres no reason for petty bickering and online insulting. Slow your roll haters, its not necessary.

Now this is from Royce himself:

I want to really thank give my appreciation to BJ. He knows how to represent. And he understands the politics ad sensitivity that I have to dal with, every year. I couldn't have asked for a better team to both represent the dealership and myself. He is absolutely right about the judging. I learned everything BJ is talking about, over the past 8 years. On a personal note. I fond it extremely disrespectful an upsetting when I saw the beer bottle caps all over the place. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ALLOWED! Please post this on other forums. I am now beyond kicking your ___ out if I see you. I will go across the street to the cop car that usually sits around hoping for someone to screw up, and have him him take your law breaking ___ away. I want to thank everyone who does respect the rules, who come to have fun, and enjoy a good time with everyone. I want to think of everyone as friends. But this slap in the face is the last straw. So if anyone sees a peer doing something they're NOT supposed to, please tell them to stop, or else. If anyone thinks I'm bluffing definitely does not know me. I have people's safety and well being to consider. Not just TA's or my co-workers, or customers, but all the event goers, young and old. I worry for everyone there. So, again, spread the word, post this up, watch your fellow club members. I will also disqualify ANY TEAM associated with the people who ignores this, if I have to.

**** Sorry this is so long guys but this is VERY IMPORTANT that you guys read this, this was all taken from my facebook but i read it all and i hope for those that were there at rockland will read this too ****** What royce covers is a serious matter in regards to people drinking and smoking weed on dealership grounds its a slap in the face to him.

i'll probably be the only one to read that entire thing lol. there are some good points, but he could be a little nicer about it due to the fact people drove hours away from home to support the show/dealership (whether they wanted to win a trophy or just came for a good time)... sure the bad apples ruin it for the bunch but there's no reason to come across like a dick because you're upset.

(unless that was aimed at someone specific and i'm missing the point lol)

^^ probably aimed at something specific lol beleive me i had to read this all from my phone but they wanted me to relay the message to everyone that had attended, the thread i found the haters talking bashed a few other of my friends and judges so it set some people off :-/ its a free show i always support my friends i dont go to win i go to show off my car and have a good time but dont sit there and think i cant read a forum bc im not a member of ppl bashing my car bc i can sit there for hours to the haters telling them every single mod and custom work on my car. and bashing my fake cf roof.. its a vinyl wrap of course its fake i dont have $ for a real cf roof, is it different? yes. Has anyone done a vinyl wrap roof on a tc? No. do people have different tastes in what they like? yes. Also you think you are civil with certain people until you go and read what they say behind ur back. pretty sad

the alcohol thing is very serious too bc of the fact the dealership was open throughout the show, there was still customers coming in and out, and there was literally a cop sitting across the st. so i do not blame him for being angry he could have lost his job yanno?

Kudos to the judge, Nicole + Royce for the are 110 % correct..

Yes, it is very sad that alot of people don't know the true virtue of the point system for winning in a car show and yes.. unfortunatley sometimes judging can be disappointing+ not a very easy job. But...nothing is perfect in life. But to complain at a non admittance fee car show event about who won+ got free food + swag .

Must be alot of Scion newbies, we never had this problem in the past. Unfortunatley, they were never advised of the proper Scion etiquette at free functions. If they belong to a Scion club, the president or VP should address this immediately.

Respectfully yours,
