Hey Oscar, i would love to help.
As far as general pointers.
Take your time, be very very patient, and do not rush anything
These LED's are pretty small, so if you have an unsteady hand, i would not recommend doing this, since the surface contact points are very small.

One other thing.
The console LCD is a force to be reckon'd with. My friend broke his trying to take it out, and he nearly was working on it for an hour. To have it replaced costs $350 i believe from scion.

indeed... my flawless record of having done about 6-7 swaps ended yesterday when a stupid mistake of putting pressure on something i shouldn't have putting it back together (BACK TOGETHER!! the last thing i needed to do!! not taking it out.. putting it back together!!! ), and well... cracked my first LCD screen...

i found one at a junkyard for $300... such a small mistake.. a LARGE price to pay.
DO NOT underestimate how fragile that thing is.

uhhh... dont u live in OH? im not really willing to not have a cluster/console for that long.. TheQUietThings told me he can get it done at fastest 1-2 days.. which is nice...thanks anyway tho

Dude I can do it in less than 1 hour... I would just do it when I come to NY which is on any weekend I have off and want to...

 

1 hour for the gauges and the console? impossible.

 

it takes me about 1 hour to do the center console itself... soldering in resistors, cutting traces.. making things look pretty and fit right.... testing... putting it back together.. etc..

if you're saying both gauges and console in less than 1 hr...

i'm throwing up BS flag...

 

I'm gonna have to agree I did mine in a couple of hours and that was my first time doing it. Maybe an hour for just the gauges not both though.

 

nope I am dead serious because you dont need resistors, you can do jumper wires which are much easier and do exactly the same thing and yes I can do it in about an hour, I have no reason to lie...

 

you have no reason to lie, but i am saying, through the testing process and even the jumper method, it will take you more than an hour.

Can anyone help me on a site where i can find these bulbs. Its drivin me crazy i cant find them anywhere. Im lookin to do that blue like the VW's come stock with any help would be awesome thanks a lot
