I am looking for a new engine in NJ - The closer to burlington the better - How much are tC engines going for in the junk yard? I know it matters how many miles but what is the going price range? Also - anybody know any place that maybe has one? I ran into issues and need to get it ASAP for my car. Please help

 

contact ed (narconethree). hes not in nj, (he not to far from the philly area) but he knows a place that might have one. when i hydro locked the engine in my xb he got an engine for me quick.

I found an an engine with 30k miles - i guess i will have to take my chances with it and see how things play out. I dunno. I dont have many choices. There is no way its worth putting a new engine in a tC unless you do a full build and are going for the glory.

Whats the typical toyota tech install time on a drop in motor?

i got a motor for $600
needs head bolts ($8 each) head gasket ($80) and oil pan ($80)

and the head has to be reassembled.. $100 at machine shop
