Hey, im looking into Hotchkis lowering springs. I would have to go on stock struts for now though.

I was wondering how the ride is for you guys that live around the NJ and NYC area.

Im just curious, any shaky rides, lifts, rubbings?

Oh yeah im asking this question because the roads here are awful.

i'm a couple hours north of the city, so not sure how much worse the roads are there but i'm fine on them.

 

my xA is lowered 2 inches and riding on 18s.....the interstates can be a little rough but not gonna lie driving thru manhattan sucks....

 

thanks for the info! There is this one major road in my city that i go on everyday, and it is simple terrible. They just ran new electric wire under the road so there is like a big bump running horizontal on the road next to every house. It is very annoying.

 

Hotchkis spring makes the ride more harsh than stock and TRD.

i cant believe how many times i have to dodge pot holes and drive uneven roads.......damn this state

 

i remember reading the paper once and the article said that if New Jersey tried to fix the highways it would prob cost more than a billion dollars. Lol our roads suck big time.

Its terrible! There is this one part on Rt 80 that is like no pavement just hole ontop of hole.

 

i hate 80 espically by parsippany....i was there last weekend....i felt like i was off roading....lol

 

Haha yeah it gets like that sometimes. The highway by Newark Airport where they are doing construction is terrible too. I hate the roads haha

 

theres one road in clark that is soooooooo bad that i drive on the opposite side of the road to avoid it.

 

dude i was driving my aunts benz and i thought the wheels were gonna fall off...lamo....

 

My moms pilot still shakes and its suspension is pretty good they been working on that highway for like 5 years so far!

 

it takes jersey years to finish one thing....

 

i ahve hotchkis and scrape against everything.. but it love it..

 

Hahaha yeah, they built that big ___ train station and i have yet to see a person in it lol!

and the look of the drop is worth the harsh ride.

However, i do rub with my Axis rims, but do not rub with the stock rims. I do not scrape anywhere.
