That gauge should have an external MAP sensor, that you can mount right next to the vacuum source (where you T off), then run the wiring to the gauge.

My AEM F/IC hooked up to the other side of the T.

It won't sound like mine though. Mine is on a stiff setting to stop the car from surging when dropping back to idle, and it flutters from compressor surge. If you got one, it would be more of a PSHHH, rather than sounding like a dieing duck.
