They couldn't release it for Verizon because Verizon is garbage. Verizon is STILL using CDMA, while the rest of the world is using GSM. Verizon is finally making the migration to GSM with their new 4G network, but it's going to take them years to finally make the switch. There are rumors that Verizon will get the iPhone sometime next year because the AT&T contract is ending and Verizon will have a compatible network.

CDMA is one of the reasons I left Sprint. (the main one they CSR's all Sick Heads).. but I was anyonning every time I would switch from one phone to another. I had to enter all these damn codes to get it to sync up to the network.
