serious question about ticket/violation aftermath:

ok so some of you know that i am from DE. well, i was going home from school for winter break way back in December when i was stopped for going too fast on I76. it was way over the limit haha. but ok, so i paid the fine whatever.

now, DE DMV has sent me a notice saying that I need to take a 100 dollar, 8 hour course on changing aggressive driving behavior. However, the alternative is to notify the state that I do not want to take the course, but would rather suspend my license for a month. And i think the reinstatement fee is like 15 bucks or something.

So, should i do the course or just get a suspension ?
Thing is, I kind of need my car for driving around here in Pitt ...

 

Take the course, or just get it suspended and keep driving like most people do.

ya, you could take the chance of driving around, but my mother-in-law did that and got another ticket, which she was able to prove that she was not wrong, but because she was driving on a suspended licence she lost it for 6 months. I would just take the course. better to be safe then sorry.

 

Mine is empty. I feel so shallow.

 

I've heard a few talking about going to the AutoX up in Beaver Run. i found a list of event days. I am thinking that I am going at least to the 1st event at the end of April. Was wondering if anyone else might be going?

I've done the auto-x events, rally-x events when they had them, track days, and a driving class up there. Just be ready with $$$ you need an approved helmet, you'll eat through tires and brakes, tons of gas, and entry fees. That's why I got sponsored when I did it.

Yea take the course and play it safe. I hear there are a lot of cute young chicks that end up in those. LOL Have fun.
