I have been talking to KillaSmit online an he has really been working on his car quite a bit. I think its cool he may try to come out.

We should cut people some slack.

earlmk - i'm really sorry i missed you at the show.

I wasn't talking about him specifically, I'm talking about all the of the random people who post like once or twice saying "hey when's the next meet" and then never show up.

A friend of mine is on the same boat as you. He's got an 07 manual xB, and the highest he can get is like 13,500 regardless if he puts it back to stock or not. It has 7K miles on it also.

Well, I am not trying to be nasty here but I was one of the "random" people to pop up on the site. I did come to the meet at Spitzer this past summer,a little late but did show up with my son. We walked around for about 20-30 minutes and no-one said a word to us so we left. I felt really out of place. I have on 06 Xb and really enjoy the car. I was trying to get my son who is 15 interested into going to the meets with me but he said he was really bored there.
I was one of those random people to. The first thing I did was a video shoot at North Hills Toyota (still not on Sean), and at first only a couple of people said "Hey", but by the end of the night everybody was laghing and having a good time, mostly at Sean's expence. I have since got my kids into it and they seam to like it. I have a 12year old boy and a 9 year old girl, that have givin me the "I'm bored" line, we just start looking harder for stuff to do. I have done two Scion only shows, one vidio shoot and one car cruise, and by far the car cruise was the most fun. Anyway these are good guys/gals and a good time is what you make of it. Don't let a rainy night in Monroeville turn you off you should come out and try it again.

right now, we're planning on donating all proceeds to the Red Cross. we're estimating a $15 entry fee for all cars being shown, no charge to look. There will be no competition, only a single Best of Show award. show up, show your car, have a good time.

that's the plan that we have right now. it would be awesome if the scionlife guys and gals could come out and help a good cause and have a great time at CMU. there will be nice cars there, no doubt. we're still defining the fine details of the show but that's the gist of it.

oh also, if anyone on here has a dealership that wants to possibly show a car or something, that would be awesome too.

spread the word.
Oct 6. CMU charity car show by TSA and Carnegie Motors.

I'll update with more details as they come.
I meant to reply to this the other day. This sounds fun!

Sweet, thanks! I'm heading down right after work... UNLESS I run home and get Toby. I can't decide what to do. I'm mad at him because he destroyed my glasses.

I'm not sure of race times but it usually starts around 8 an ends between 12-1ish depending if they stay on scedule.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch. My nexxt race is Sept 15 in Cleveland. That is also another long race that is about 15-20 mins long. after Oct. my seanson will be over.

Guess I'm keeping my xb for now, since I bought more audio crap for it. It's not much, but it's an xb and you really aren't working with much room especially if you don't want to lose all your cargo capacity in the hatch area. Guess I'll end up keeping it forever since I can't find any other car like it. At least a few zipties fixed most of my rattling problems.
