Anybody have experiences with electrical shorts?

I was fitting this:



A gigantic 1035 DOM winch bumper to the front of the runner for a test fit before i weld it up to the frame for good. Next day i flip my lights on coming home at night and my cluster lights dont work along with my running lights. Brake turn all that crap work. I noticed it blew the 30amp fuse in the cab so i put another one in and blew it again

Any way to jump the fuse so i can trace the line? I blew 3 30amps so far. I was using a blow torch but there is only the turn signal lines in that area and I had a spotter so i highly doubted that i torched a line.

I have a good idea where its coming from (smashed a corner light on the trail and i think it broke the wires behind it) but i dont want to keep blowing 30amps on whims

NM figured it out and found the short last night

 

I've got a custom painted tc and wondering if anyone else would like to have a car meet here, even though the thread seems to be going 643254 different ways!

 

I live in Pittsburgh but my tC is far from anything special, lol. Just my daily beater that I occasionally dump a little money into.

I could maybe do this all my tC has very few mods I wouldnt mind looking at others more nice cars. And my bro has an RS 1.0.. From where I go to school moon is a bit of a hike though.. watching to gauge interest..

Everybody having a great summer?

Its been like 115 here for what seems like forever. Spent most of my summer out in the desert on dirt bikes and quads (im currently working on a monster 250 Suzuki Quadracer project but have a Yamaha Warrior 350 and and the g/f has a honda trx125 4Trax.
