Hey Vince were you flying by on 95 around 8pm on Saturday night going southbound? A blue TC with dark tint past me by! I was trying to see who it was but them illegal tint couldnt see much...!
Yea, I'm cool with the rules and all but when you moderate any website or forum like this, you have to understand who the audience is and moderate accordingly. I have a feeling that very few people who come to this site have an issue with 'colorful language' or what some people consider vulgar. That being said (and I should be allowed to say it), I won't obfuscate my profanity in the future in an attempt to be funny, creative or get a point across.
So... I met Rob at Shades of Gray tint. There were three cars in the shop, but once Damon and Ryan started on his GTI, it only took about 30-45min. It's always fun to drive up to that shop and watch my friends get their cars tinted
I'll post pics soon and continue to laugh at the fact that there's no profanity allowed on a car forum. Hahaha..

I've seen this sort of thing a lot. Moderators and administrators of websites like this, every once in awhile feel they have to exercise their authority in order to remain relevant. Little do they know, the people can and usually do police themselves pretty well. Now, my opinion is that there was no need for them to step in and close our last forum thread, nor take individual action against members who used profanity, but that was their perogative.
I managed a real, community driven website much larger than this, called deviantART.com for nearly 4 years and there have been people I've worked with who behaved like some of the mods here. In that they would say things like "watching you" or "I wouldn't do that" stuff like that to incite a response, and then take action if you talk back or "violate rules" It's mostly an ego thing, but we did agree to their rules, however ridiculous they are.
Truthfully speaking, we shouldn't have to watch what we say, this forum redacts or obfuscates our profanity, which leads me to wonder why they are warning everyone (even myself) for something that should be corrected on their end, if our profanities are getting through.
EDIT: Chris, I was responding to your post but they deleted it. It contained no profanity, you should talk to someone who manages the moderators. If you can get them to side with us (reason) rather than their own employees or volunteer moderators as the case may very well be here, perhaps we can go back to enjoying ourselves.
EDIT 2: Also, can we change the forum title so it's less offensive to the mods? We know how sensitive they can be.
