Scion VIP Track Attack @ Formula X Millville, NJ Sept. 14
Alright got there response e-mail saying the got my rsvp! I am good to any one making a train to head out there? Any new yorkers wanna make a train to head out there? Post up so we can setup a time nd meeting place if ur interested!!!!
Holy heck that was a great day! Many thanks to ScionVIP/Urban Racer, Scion Corporate, Skip Barber Driving School and the NJ Motorsports Park!
After about an hour of class instruction, since almost nobody there had any track experience (Autocross or road course-wise), they took us out onto the track. We had 3 groups of 5 cars each. The instructors sat in the lead cars and drove. Everyone behind had to follow about 3 car lengths behind the person in front, trying to follow the same lines. The speeds weren't that fast but everyone had fun. We unfortunately only had about 45 minutes on the track, since they needed to get it set for the actual competition.
For those of you who've done autocross before (There were a couple there), Road course is a thousand times better. You get the technical turning skills + the adrenaline rush of the speed
First off, here's my pictures. Not many but I just took a couple snaps.

And the better part. Video of the runs. I was only able to grab 1 video off the memory card so far. This is the one with the Skip Barber instructor driving my car:

I had a good time, even though I didn't have my car. Looks like Scion rep'd well. I left early to hit up the beach and casino's in A.C.
Thanks for lunch VIP!

hey guys here is somthing you may enjoy... although our tC wasnt able to make NJ we still had a blast up there . hmmmmm that pit radio guy looks familiar....
here is the 1st of 2 videos I have, this one was on Saturday in the 2nd practice session on my street tires. I was at the start of the 2nd line. I was doing my darndest to keep up with some fast cars including an Evo with good power, s2000, porsche gt3, STI, M3, G35 twin Turbo. Keep note as I let the G35 and M3 pass, i wasnt sure if i was holding them up or not so I waved them by on the strait and let off. Also keep note of the G35, in the next video i post It will be me on my race tires...
enjoy
