I'm Back in the country. what have you guys been up to?? anyone still meet at Ikea on sunday or have we changed the date and time?

Whistle stop was cool last night. Decent turnout and I finally got my RC working. Now I have to call D about how to make wheels and tires...

joe, i just made a new set of drift tires for my pro3 and made a few changes. the rear diff was packed with thick grease to lock it and also the front belt turned itself inside out again. i took teh diff apart and cleaned it and fixed the belt. it should drift a LOT better for next time.

let me know how wide your wheels are in mm and i will make you a set

 

Sweet diggity broseph! I think Im gonna grab a new set of rims today after work. I will let you know how wide they are once I get them. I wanna get a gold set to work with the color scheme I picked for my RC body. My car actually drifted a little bit with the HPI D-Spec tires which I wasnt expecting. I figured since they were rubber it would never work on pavement but it did. I'll call you later today...

most wheels are going to be 24 or 26mm. mine are like 33 and i made my new tires roughly 30mm for more traction. be sure you pick up a 190mm body and not a 200mm. electrics take 190's. i only run a 200 b/c of my wide wheeels.

 

Yeah I didnt make it to the RC shop last night. I had too many things to take care of that were more important...

...I might make it to the shop on sunday but not before then.

 

I'll make a drive down to philly one of these sundays.
