Harleysville man killed in one-car crash 8:28 AM EDT, October 2, 2007
A 25-year-old Harleysville man was killed when he crashed his sports coupe on a Perkiomenville Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County, just before 6 p.m. last night.
Gavin M. Duffy was pronounced dead at the scene about 8 p.m., according to a news release from state police at Skippack.
According to police, Duffy was found about 60 feet from the vehicle after iit rolled over several times.
Duffy, whose street address was unavailable, had been driving east on Perkiomenville Road in a 2007 Scion tC when he lost control of the vehicle. The car began spinning and crossed the westbound lane before it began to roll over, according to the news release.
The crash occurred near Sumneytown Road. Emergency crews from Harleysville, Lower Frederick Township, Green Lane and Marlborough Township assisted state police.
