I'm just visiting because i forgot how to reset the maint req'd light. and checking to see if theres any new tsbs/defects that i'm not aware of.

lately, the hatch rattle has been louder than my radio, so i'm interested to know if other people have the same issue...which they do.

thats really the one thing this site IS good for....finding out that you're not the only one with a defective car and trying find out ghetto DIY's to fix your issues. :D

To reset the Maint. Req'd light, switch your trip meter over to the odometer readout, turn the key to OFF, and while holding the reset button, turn the key to ON. Wait for the readout to count down to zero, and you're set.

ZOMG. rofl.. r u serious??? u think i didn't know what the main req'd lite means???? I have 50K miles (as of 2 nite's commute home) on my car!!! I've reset the light probably 8-10 times!!! its just been a while, so i forgot the procedure. :D

and theres about 10 thousand different "hatch rattle" threads and "fixes" out there. I've seen them all. This weekend i'm goign to rip apart the headliner and trim pieces to get at those pesky plastic ribs, hopefully that will do it.

its just the fact that, with nicer makes, this kind of stuff doesn't happen. And if it does.... THEY fix it. not leave it up to you to fix it yourself.
