Yea Shan, I took a similarly angled shot of my car (after it snowed) and it's what convinced me to get the tinting done.

30% is the closest match you can get to factory tint rob.

 

Not really, Shannon If you can see through the window and into the car like that... no tint!

 

i dunno man i read a few threads on here and very many people have 20 and it matches perfect

 

according to VLT meters, 30% matches best.

the back windows meter out at 28% VLT. 30% or 35% on the front windows will read roughly 25-30%

20% tint reads 11% VLT on a meter.

 

im probably gonna wait until spring to get tint, mostly cuz i need to save my money right now. but im thinking 30% tint....i dont wanna be pulled over every time i go out cuz my tint is so freakin dark. it looks hott, but i dunno if its worth the hassle.

 

That's because there's already some tint on the factory glass.

 

Really hmm see i dont understand why the 35 on my fronts are soo light its almost like mirror tint.....ill try the 30 then cause if thats what the vlt meter shows then 30 would be best.

Shan if you go like 20 you will get pulled over in a heart beat in my area but at 30 or 35 you shold be fine.

 

Shan, I've only been hassled once for my tint and it was only a secondary charge that I wouldn't have been messed with over had I not been doing other asshattery things in the Applebees parking lot (shouts to B-Rad!)

The Scion tC isn't a car that arouses suspicion of law enforcement. I've even been complimented by cops (in Philly) regarding the appearance of my car with the tint. Though things are different in the 'burbs, you just have to assume the risk if you want tint. If not 15% atleast go with 20%.. it really makes the blue tC look hot.

 

Vince up north here it is entirely different then down in the philly area cops have nothing better to do than watch for stuff like tint to pull you over.
