-another write up

"Suddenly my ears perked up as I heard Bob say, "A stock HHR SS lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 8 minutes and 43 seconds." Alarms start going off in my head. What? More accurately, "Yeah right." Here's what I'm talking about. A Lotus Exige goes around the Nordschleife in 8:42. A Honda S2000 laps it in 8:39. An NSX does the deed in 8:38. If what Lutz is saying about the HHR SS is true, this milk-delivering bread van is only 3 seconds slower around the most challenging race course in the world than an E39 M5.

i dont care what it looks like. thats damn respectable!

Chevrolet of today is definitely not the Chevrolet of yesterday.

Everyone seems to forget that even Toyota is doing recalls nowadays.

there is little to no difference between reliability in cars now a days. material quality and design are another thing, but the new Malibu and CTS are amazing cars with top notch interiors. even the Vette got an interior make over for 08 and its looking good. Bob Lutz knows what he is doing...lets just hope he has the time to right the ship before it goes under.

also, Ford is making HUGE improvements in quality/reliability. ith ink 22 of the 24 cars they sell are on Consumer reports best buy list.

the new tundra has had lots of major recalls this year.

Oh and rule of thumb with chevy or any GM product is 'the bigger the engine the more reliable it is" many GM techs will tell you that....

They will still charge you the cancellation fee dude. So if you are looking to get out your a** out either way. Just pony up the ETF. Sorry, try this if you are really trying to get out:

No you end up doing a transfer of service. Usually meet up with them at a local store and do the swap

just get a set of used stock lights, and a can of model car spray tint for 5 bucks and go to town. or even a set of smoked over lays. no way should you pay 160 bucks for those.

Overlays are tough to do unless you're patient as hell.
