regarding the STI. i have driven one, maybe 15miles on various surfaces and conditions. its just not what i like in a car. yes its crazy, stupid, out of the world fast and will turn a corner better than cars twice its price and i have LOADS of respect for what they are capable of. BUT, the wing and scoop are way to big for my taste, the ride was really harsh, i drive 20k a year so ride comfort is important for me. and for the price the interior is awful. if i would ever get to a point in my life where i could have a separate track car i would deff go for a STI or Evo or something similar. but as something i would have to drive everyday its not my kind of car. im sure the ppl that have one love it, just not for me.
not to mention the car insurance was more then my car payment.

Damb u must have a messed up driving record or insurance company....my insurance on it was 47.00 more than what i paid on the gti so it was 247 a month which wasnt too bad...
then u needs to get a new insurance company....im gonna take a guess since you have such a high rate your prolly with Erie?
Im with state farm they have a ish load of discounts you can get....right now im paying 101 a month for my xB

Rob when they adjust your insurance payment they take into consideration ALOT of different aspects from your age to whom your live with and their driving records. So with us being in our early 20's they look at it just like this, "Oh another young kid wanting a fast car he can't handle." so all they do is jack up your insurance premium because in their minds your more likely to get into an accident. When I went to buy a Scion I looked at the TC first and I got an insurance quote at 437 bucks a month, and I had a clean record then.

You live in Jersey. That's one reason your rates are through the roof.
I was paying 300/mo back when I first got my car. I'm now paying 230/mo, and it should be even less when the policy renews in May.
