i didnt think 20's would fit lol

so i have been doing alot of research on the 002's and from what i found is that even with the s-techs i have now i will rub and would need to roll the fenders....my problem with rolling the fenders is i heard of many people cracking the paint when they did it and with the paint that is on my car i can't afford to crack it......i want these rims but im just not sure if i really will rub if i keep the s-techs on that i have now.....Jim you had these wheels before right? Do u think i will be safe with the s-techs and not rolling the fenders???

 

heh probably not. they rubbed like a fat chick in spandex lol.

dont roll the fenders yourself. pay a shop to do it. make sure they do it right. Im going to wind up cutting out the inside of my fenders to push my 19's out further, and then run camber plates.

i seen that steve (dasaint) was running the 002's with the s-techs and he had minor issues with the back rubbing...

So pretty much any local body shop can do it? Did your paint crack at all? Im sorry bout all the questions i just wanna make sure everything will bo ok before i order these......and i figure if im gonna roll the fenders i might as well get the df210's haha

 

i dont know about a local body shop. Call around and ask. I never had my fenders rolled. I said i'm going to cut my fenders. I think you're going to have rubbing issues no matter what u do.

 

nothing beats getting off of the phone with your ins company making a statement cuz the person you barely hit is filing injury claims.

the ins lady said that she doubts anything will get paid out but she needed to take a statement from me about what happened. then we talked about how LITTLE damage was done to the honda.

what a joke, i hit the lady going 2.78 mph. my monday just keeps getting better

 

you can roll them with a baseball bat on a hot day. i did it on one of my old jettas but i have seen people crack the paint.

 

or you can heat up the paint with a heat gun and do it that way.

....or you could take it to a professional....

 

didnt rob have 15 x 8 with s-techs???? did he rub???? From what i can see i really dont wanna risk rolling the fenders and cracking the paint....i will flip out if that happens lol

 

^True which is what would def do but i need to find a place where i know is good and wont mess up my car....hopefully some one on here went somewhere and had it done so i can find a good place....

yeah, it sux that it's gotta be on a weekday, but the next day is friday, so it's not so bad.

 

shan, if it was on a friday, i could make it. 4 hour round trip with work the next day would kill me.

yea me too i mean thursdays are my day off which is good but its a 2 hour ride for me ;/ and i have to pick my girl up from work at 9 so.....
