i dont know what brand to pick to replace my stock speakers and probably run a amp and sub too. i just one some help with this because some ppl say pioneer is ___ nad stuff like that but i hear some nice ones at best buy and they had the kenwood that really didnt sound as good. so i jus need some help so thanks.

 

I guess a question to ask you is what kind of headunit/amp would be powering them?

And secondly, the best thing to do is to go to Best Buy or 6th Ave and listen to both to see what sounds the best to you.

speakers I say alpine

 

From previous experiences that I've had with Kenwood head units, I would stay away from Kenwood all together. I had pioneer speakers in my mustang and were satisfied, but not happy with them.

Like njforcedlife said, for speakers pick Alpine. They put out some SERIOUS quality products. Also look into speakers from MBquart and Kicker.

 

only alpine speakers worth a crap are the spx pro's

everything else sucks.

As far as head units go, kenwood has been coming out with some decent stuff lately.

amps..i only use sundown or zapco.

so the other day i got kicker subs 2 10's nd a kenwood amp 1000 watts i cant wait to hear it but im away next thing i want to do is change the speakers but i think how to remove the stock ones. im think the front ones nd not the back but idk.

 

alpines as suggested above are very nice, i personally would suggest polk as that is what I have used for years and I love them. I prefer pioneer head units over kenwood just for the fact that the new UI they have on the double din units is much more user friendly... the ipod navigation is extremely easy. good luck!

 

my preference is alpine head unit and rockford fosgate speakers all around. and i have a Coustic 460 amp that ive had for at least 15 years and it works perfect
kenwood heads are nice, i had one with a 6 disc changer a couple cars ago and liked it.
im not a fan of pioneer at all

 

apline makes one of the best head units imo, but the price definately reflects it... which puts me in the kenwood/pioneer range. tcrs's suggestion of going into a store and playing around with them is the best though, because it really is personal preference.

 

jus got 2 10 comps kickers with a 1000 watts kenwood amp sounds pretty good when i put it on the feel mode too much bass for driving.
