Default ......INSPECTION....

I saw that other thread, he ment to say: The CAT is not involved.
There is no CAT attached to the header, the cat is behind the header in it's own section of pipe. You will not need to worry about the O2 sensor, because it is attached to the pipe behind the header.

That wand that they stick up your tailpipe detects carbon dioxide (CO) and NO emmissions. That has to do with how the motor is burning fuel, too rich, too much carbon or nitrogen will fail you. After that you will be sent to get your engine tuned.

They are not checking to see what style of exhaust you have.
When they look under your car with a mirror, they are looking to see if you have removed your catolitic convirter, a felony.

You will pass inspection because your car is new and you have not fiddled with any settings, they are all set from the factory and are working fine. You will pass with or without an exhaust replacement. Only California has the CARB laws for intakes, anything you can put on there will pass inspection just fine.

Default ...HE HAS A PLAN....

Good plan. I have just done the pully. Perrin. A chalanging mod. I hope you have good tools. Got a shallow 14mm? Have a 1 inch extention?

So, MyNameThere, just relax and enjoy your green color. Don't worry about inspection, PA is an easy state. I did live there, in SUSQUEHANNA City, and had a freind who inspects cars at a local station.

I want to ask this question about exhaust phrase-e-ology:

When people say that the replaced their exhaust, they mean from the cat back, right? Header and CAT pipe stay in place, right?
