I read the RS2 for the 2009 xD is going to be in 6U5 paint, a light green metallic... yuk. I was really hopin' for the dark plum, I'd have done a trade-in for that... oh well, gives me another year to save up nothin'...

the rs series follow all the same right? wasn't the rs 2.0 of the first gen xb that green?

also sorry to hear about the job loss.....

yes, well, I kinda knew it was going to happen, just was suprised it happened so dang soon...

Al, you can see photos of my old and new wheels, and read the entire story about what happened to my old wheels, here on this short one-page thread I posted, over on the "Cafe xD" forum I hang on:

http://cafexd.com/viewtopic.php?p=5441#5441

The new wheels I got are very similar in appearance to the R1 Racing wheels I had, but I think the new wheels are even better looking than the R1's, and a little better or at least more well-known brand - the new wheels are from Kitana, their CR5 in machined Black...

yeah, this really sucks, poorest timing possible... I lost the majority of my IRA Retirement funds (over six figures, ouch!) going through my divorce the last two years, trying to sell our old house (at a loss) and shelling out down payment for this little bachelor pad rancher I'm in now. I've been scraping and scraping to keep up with just the bare minimum monthly bills, so I can stay in the house, and now this happens. good thing there's plenty of high-paying jobs out there in the market right now... haha, maybe in the Super-market, stocking shelves...

yeah, but it will be over $300 less per week take-home pay than what I was making, so that will be over $1200 less a month - and I could barely pay all my bills WITH the job... that $1200 per month will have to come out of what's left of my IRA retirement fund, so I'll need to find another job in a hurry...

yeah, she's been real quite lately... she did post over on the Shady Maple thread once or twice recently - you going to that, Shawn?

Well, found two other good job postings that are right up my alley, getting resumes out today for them... I'm updating my References sheet today, 4 years out of date now, gotta confirm addresses and phone numbers...

it would be awesome to find a job that quick, within one month, but I bet there will be tons of competition for those, so I'll really need some luck... the one has been posted for over 2 weeks already, so I may be too late for that one...

Well, I got plenty of time now to make an appointment this week to get my tires and TPMS modules moved over to the new wheels and get them put on the car... that will cost me another $120, I suppose... man, what an expensive pothole, dammit!

my solution for that problem:
roll up on a 2ft long piece of 2x4. raises the car enough to get a jack under it. Works for me every time!
