Thanks!!! sorry about your fender bender. I think I saw you the other day (i was on my honda street bike). Since I didnt have my scion i didnt want to bother ya.

Auto menders is the top shop there in york. Its like 30 seconds from the harley dealership. They do all of "fully loaded's" cars that get body work (ie higher end beemers, benz, rovers, lexus ) and they do up imports pretty well. They are expensive however.

^haha. I wave at the wrong cars sometimes so I'd deserve to be confused.

At least no other scions were injured by my crappy parking lot driving skills. Considering it's the first scratch I've put on a car in about 5 years, and the only one worth reporting in 10, I can't complain.

The body repair may have to wait but I can't be seen with a crater in my moon! lol the car almost looks like I just missed some wax. Whoever does it, all I care about is their ability to match the paint. I don't want to have to paint all of the lips pink or purple or something because they messed up. Or do I?

Looking at Mugsy's website I don't think they do body work. just "real" work. Besides, they're honda guys.

Of course I had to go confirm the cost of a replacement moon and went through their website again. I'm starting to want to go silly:

those make me laugh.

BTW, thanks for posting all the great pics over here everyone. Looks like it was loads of fun!

April, guess you'll have to modify your avatar now, so the scratches match up...! :D

lol I did think that at least it wasn't on my "good side" that u see on my avatar. I wouldn't want people looking at scratches instead of my fancy clear fuel door!

Well, I really dread the day I damage my new xD - it WILL happen at some point - either backing into something or hitting something - I've done that to every car I've owned, within the first 6 months I owned them... Bad Luck!

...All, except, that little gold Renault LeCar seen at the photo link in my sig - that was the only lucky vehicle I owned that escaped the wrath of my bumbling driving skills - and for over 10 years, for some unknown reason...

So hopefully (knock on asphalt!) I can do that a second time, with my little Precious!

Default York, PA Meets-last Saturday of every month?????

BTW, While I'm still on here and thinking about it, I wanted to put a bug in everyone's ear early-on for this month's "York, PA Meet" which would fall on August 30th - perhaps we can get enough interest this month to get something together? I would enjoy the chance to meet some of you scion owners I've chatted with on here in person... Last one for the Summer, Folks!...

They're not on state farm's preferrred list. Diehl collision is though. I could still go to auto menders, state farm just has to send an adjustor to check and it'll take longer. But they'll back me in a fight with Diehl if I'm unhappy with the work. I just have to take it somewhere this week to get it looked at.

Moon is all out of moons!!! how can this be????? bummer.

i would probably take it to diehl, im not saying that cause i work there. just because they are toyota/scion trained and im sure they warranty their work. they did a good job on my body kit paint wise. and they use oem parts from toyota. but auto menders does a good job too. i trusted them enough to drill my $800 carbon fiber hood and install washer nozzels for me.

good to hear. just wasn't sure if Diehl Collision was associated with Diehl toyota or not. I will feel much better at either place now. hopefully I can run out over lunch tomorrow. any excuse to get out of work for a few minutes.

Did I mention that I left my windows open on sunday during that rainstorm? my car doesn't stand a chance lately! I'm out to get it apparently and I must secretly hate it. can I get that powder that you put in wet basements at Lowe's or home depot? I've left my windows down all day since but I'm still paranoid of moldy gooey smelly growy things.

As far as Last saturday... I'm up for this one. I think. Maybe we can plan something more glamorous than just hanging out at ozone or denny's? The season is almost up like the Cylon mentioned!

Look for the product called "Damp Rid" I think Lowes carries it. Get the refill box for about $5, fill 2 plastic butter tubs with it, poke holes in the lids and stuff them under your front seats for about a week. Another thing to do is run your a/c constantly on recirculate, that way it draws the air from inside the cabin and removes the moisture while doing it. (why no, i've never had any experience with leaving windows down in the rain, not me!)

Ill be down for this months meet if people are going to show up. If you guys want, we can go to hanover and go race the go-karts, or go bowling, or do something else aside from sit at dennys. If people are worried about "driving further" to hanover, I can fit 5 in my yaris, im not going to cram people in my tC tho.

I just want to "do something" rather than sit and BS about cars.. lol, I do that too much. Even the movies, maybe we can go see that new ben stiller movie comming out. The theater is less than 2 mins from our meet spot.

thanks for the post amy! I was just signing on to announce it too!

And visual reality is Ray's (2min0to60) club.

don't know if I'll make it but I'll probably spectate at some point. don't know. feel silly showing with a missing sideskirt and crumpled moon. I don't think he wants me to embarrass him.

Thanks! I should've know it would have a nice simple name! I have been doing the AC thing. It seems OK in there but hopefully it's not too late now. I've just been too busy. glad to know I'm not the only goofball who does that kind of thing... occasionally! ;)
