I did my LED swap; it's pretty easy when you have two soldering irons. What color are you going to do? Mine are red, so I didn't need any resistor swaps for voltage re-regulation, but I have to see what needs to change to do white or blue.

I still have to find someone to take my work shift for me on that Saturday.

because blue and white colored leds need resistors in order to light up properly... as Brian said before.

Sorry to keep you in limbo. I'll pm you with price as I can't post it here (per SL rules). The deal with blue gauges with white needles is different than a normal swap. In order for the needle to stay white, you need all white LEDs then have blue vinyls over the entire gauges to have them blue. It costs a little extra in comparison to all blue with blue needles, but it's up to you if that's still what you want to do.

In regards to the discussion you folks were talking about regulating the colors and such, that is only applicable when swapping the HVAC LEDs. For the gauge cluster, you can use any color LEDs you wish without any worries. When swapping the HVAC, if you're doing a color anything different than red you need to swap out 5-6 resistors in order for the brightness to be at the appropriate level.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it for the meet that day, but if I can't I can setup an appointment to do the swap for you if you still want it. As you guys can see in my signature, I'm now offering full swaps (gauge cluster, HVAC, headunit, door panels, and steering wheel if you have it) to anybody in the area. If anybody has questions, feel free to contact me.

We should have a list of all the mods people are going to install at the meet so we can bring the right tools.
