That's not why he get's 93 octane...... instead of just getting them fixed, he needs the extra octane to help his broken fogs work. :D

Ok heres a question for anyone who can answer... I get a check engine light last night, I go to the dealership and they blame my after market exhaust for putting oil into the MAF Sensor. Does that make any sense? I wasnt aware that exhaust could do such a thing.

You still have your stock exhaust manifold right? Weird man.

Put oil into the MAF? I really don't think any aftermarket exhaust could do that. Doesn't make any sense to me.

whaaaaaaaa tell them errrrrrr NO! Only thing toyota techs are capable of doing is oil changes. And even then they will prob not change the filter. Thats bs and have them explain it to u as how oil is getting in the MAF sensor. You are talking the sensor in the air intake right?

have them prove it in WRITING that the exhaust is causeing oil to get on the maf sensor.

IMHO (and as a student for automotive) that is a load of bull. they see someone come in with aftermarket parts and assume they dont know anytihng and try to take advantage of them.

have them prove it in writing, have the tech sign it, and the manager too.

It's back! Finally, no more craters on the hood! Feels great to get out of the bouncy sluggish rent-o-mobile.

It was definitely worth it; took off a couple years from the front end. Now I just have to remember to stay back from all the trucks on the highway.
