Home on a Sunday..... Did a little poking around and found myself in my garage with wet sandpaper and mothers metal polish.... hmmm. may have to do the whole thing..

Carlos, what grit sandpaper?

 

Process used.
1, degrease the part you are working on.
2, sand with 400 grit
3, oposite direction with 1000 grit
4, opposite direction with 1500 grit
5, opposite direction with 2000 >>>Some will stop here and use the Mothers.

I look for mirror finish and follow the next few steps with the Micro mesh.

Then use Micro Mesh AO paper to finish the metal... 3200, 4000, 8000, and 12000 grit.

Finish it off with the Mother's mag and aluminum polish and you will be happy

take your time... it will look sweet.
